I've never seen this before on any other Tori cd, from the US or the UK. Was there a merger between Atlantic and eastwest? (I think they are both under the Warner label, right?). I got mine today in perfect condition after ordering only a short time ago - for $15, I might add. so check them out if you're looking. (P.S. I don't work for them, I promise! :-) ) Also, for those who've already heard the b-sides, does anyone have any lyrics transcribed, besides "Do It Again" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Xmas"? I'm particularly interested in "Bachlorette" (sp?) since I can't understand a whole lot of what she's saying..at times, it sounds as if she's making it up as she goes along..does anyone else get that feeling? (Particularly the end, where she seems to go away from words and kinda la la it on to the end.. if that makes any sense whatsoever!) Any ideas on the meanings behind the songs (the ones she wrote)? I was thinking that Bachlorette had something to do with her being one at one time...maybe the inspiration??? And Cooling was written awhile ago, I know. Did anyone catch a story or hints about what this one's about? (I'm a lyric freak. I just HAVE to know where and why, etc. :-) ) I'm still trying to figure out who the Purple People are...hmm.. any thoughts? I'm open to all comments at this point! Thanks! Well, they have a web site. Modern Rock Live presented by Sony http://www.easternlights.com/mrl/ Modern Rock Live is a syndicated radio interview program which also sometimes incorporates in-studio performances by the interviewees. This is, in fact, the program on which two years ago Tori improvised the song For Mark. (February 4, 1996) I have no idea how far out of the U.S. this thing goes, if at all. It's a 90 minute program, begins at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time every Sunday, and they typically have one guest on for the first half hour of it, then the main guest is on for the last hour, which is where Tori was the last time she did a major interview on there. (She was on since with a brief announcement pertaining to RAINN.) I have to say, this '96 interview was one of the best I ever heard with her. At any rate, the web site says the guest on their next show which is May 3 is To Be Announced. We'll have to keep an eye on it to see when they update it. Be seeing you, Richard Handal, H.G. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 22:29:55 -0700 From: mallen@redshift.com (Minako Allen) Subject: More on Tori's Interview Thursday night. I've received quite a bit of mail regarding my earlier post, and thought I ought to clarify a few things. My post was regarding the syndicated radio broadcast that the Album Network will be airing Thursday night to promote Tori's new album. Several radio stations will be taking part in this broadcast from Chicago, and will include some airplay of tracks from the new album, as well as an interview with Tori, and a live performance at the end. Whether the live performance will come from the concert she's doing in Chicago Thursday night or a live "in studio" performance, I don't know. I'm assuming it's the former. :) The station in my area scheduled to be airing this broadcast is 93.5 KCDU out of Hollister, California, and they are scheduled to air this program at nine p.m. Whether this air time applies to the other stations around the country also doing the simultaneous broadcast, I'm uncertain. For those of you out there who are wondering if any stations in your area will be also be broadcasting this interview/special, check out Mikewhy's page at tori.by.net There you will find a link regarding info on this special broadcast, as well as a page that lists many of the radio stations across the country that will be airing this special. But, just to be sure, check with your local radio station to see if they'll be participating in this special if you don't see them listed on the page. Hope this helps, and have fun listening. I know I will. ;) Minako - ----- Give me life Give me pain Give me myself again - -TA ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 Apr 1998 17:01:13 EDT From: PeacePoet2 Subject: TORI LIVE WEBCAST THURSDAY Okay people, I'm sick of all the false rumors, speculation, etc, surronding the Thursday Live show.
