There's bed upon bed with not a Chelsea blue for the sheet color but kinda a more faded color. All I really want is a little nap. The nurse - there's only one - says she needs the beds and I can't nap and I say this place is empty except for hundreds and hundreds of beds and she said if I can find a bed without chopped pieces of hair on it I can lay down, and sure enough I go from bed to bed finding clumps strands split ends of every colour and kind possible. I don't know if it's worth trying to make sense of this but the boys were dying their hair this eek to look like Debbie Harry and Marcel had an accident. How can they justify it? Although not enticed by the siren sound as Big Corporation tries to ensnare me (maybe I'm just a more patient person than that), I find it completely unimaginable that the extra track won't be released on disc eventually. Unless I'm extremely wrong on that, then what all this boils down to is a promotional offer to folks to be able to get this track *early*. And I don't see why that is such a big, horrible thing. I'm really confused by the intense reaction to this offer. Weird. I mean, are people *really* gonna let this action dictate where they buy the record--in either direction? Tower is where I buy almost all my stuff anyway. I'm not planning to make a point to go elsewhere as a reaction to this. I would see that as being manipulated by Big Corporation just as much as deciding to buy *from* them would be. And I'm quite confident that we'll all have this song on disc before the year is out, anyway. My response is BFD. I refuse to let my emotions be manipulated with this. I notice that most of the Tori Amos songs are on MP3 -- or RealAudio, which I have already! -- and I downloaded a player but, unfortunately it doesn't work too well. SO if anyone can help me, that would be great! Thank you! ~*lyn*~ *`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`* is it right, butterfly? I'm sorta new to this list, been lurking here for a while, so it's time to say hello! Hello :) The main reason I'm posting is because I am thrilled to death right now... they have *finally* played Spark here in Eugene, Oregon. If any of you happen to live here (which I doubt, no one interesting lives here), 95.3 the Q, got the 4 track promo in the mail yesterday and played Spark. Unfortunately, I didn't hear it, but my husband was listening to the radio in the car, and he told me about it. It was basically like "well, we got this in the mail today, so we might as well play it". So I listened all day today hoping to catch it... they didn't play it, but played God instead. Shock... they never play Tori here. So I called and begged them to play Spark. Right before the dj played it, she said they they had just gotten two requests for it, one right after the other, and that they weren't going to play it for a while, even though people were requesting it today... but she said that she decided to play it anyway, because she wanted to hear it too, so no one was going to stop her. And she played it! It sounds sooooo much better on the radio than on the wav I have. But you know... why wouldn't they want to her play it? Anyway, I'm glad they did, we need more Tori here. Am I silly for being so happy about this little thing? Well, I don't care... this is fun ;) Bye all! --Mireya ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V3 #121 *************************************
