Could anyone who has it possibly send it to me? My computer recently had a major crash where I lost *everything*, and I'm trying to follow through with the requests I get for this file. The clip is of Tori saying, "Then I fuck up, I look stupid, and you get bummed out..." (she's explaining why the audience should be quiet). It seems like the problem cleared up though. Anyway, on to Tori things. Does anyone else find it ironic that Tori Amos Live from NY video is not available at stores in the US or NY city for that matter? Is this because of Tori's own wishes, the record studios, or just a lack of a blockbuster or video stores not wanting to pick it up? That's all I have to say.>> wait a sec. i've had to delete a lot of mail because i was getting 7th repeats from the list, so i might have missed out on something, so forgive me if i don't make sense. if you're talking about the sense that tori was raped EMOTIONALLY, yes, it was very traumatic for her, and i agree. but she wasn't raped, physically. was that what you meant in the first place, molly? tori DID stretch the truth a bit, or the media twisted it out of her control. i mean, nearly all the magazines were saying that "tori amos was raped at gunpoint," and then tori comes out and states that it wasn't a gun, and it wasn't PHYSICAL penetration (although that doesn't make the psychological damage any less). and i DO NOT believe every last word tori says, and i am A FAN. i mean, i take her seriously with the big things like her rape, but just because i don't believe in fairies doesn't make me some witch who's betrayed tori. i don't hold her wrong for believing in faeries. i don't hold people of different religions wrong. in the end, it's just like different user manuals for the same thing, but i accept the fact that there are user manuals other than mine. eileen ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Feb 1998 20:58:06 EST From: JEDAS1@aol.com Subject: Re: Violent & Delicious: Tori wavs In a message dated 2/12/98 7:35:14 PM, AstroKitty@aol.com wrote: <> Um, if anyone else has it, may I have this wav too? :) julie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Feb 1998 21:06:27 EST From: Quilly14@aol.com Subject: Lyrics and such My favorite lyrics? So, now that it's safe to post.... I emailed Bob Waugh, the main Tori-oriented jock at WHFS, and asked him about the report that someone thought he had heard Tori say on HFS Tuesday that she was getting married. Many of you not from the D.C./Maryland area will be familiar with Bob Waugh from his having done the Atlantic promo CD interview in 1994, Tea With the Waitress. Anyway, he told me that Tori did not make such an announcement on WHFS. I have no idea what Kedren's boyfriend heard on Tuesday, but that was what it wasn't. Another thing Bob told me was this: "Stay tuned. We will be announcing a Tori Amos concert date very soon." I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her to play the 930 Club. It was just named the top night club of the year nationwide. It's a great venue. That's just my preference. I have no idea where she'll actually perform here on the club tour. I'm counting on whoever hears the announcement on HFS to post and let the rest of us know about it, okay? Thanks. But all of the things she says do have very truthful meaning. The faeries may just be a figment of her imagination, but it's how she stays a child inside. We all have things that do that...and we all need things that keep us young. Because our childhoods are too short to be wasted. We should all at least look at the meanings of what Tori says, and apply them to ourselves. When we do that, then there is truth in everything she says. Once again...that's all I have to say. - --Molly ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V3 #57 ************************************
