I think the two months off the ice (due to a stress fracture in her toe) actually strengthened her soul and invigerated her love of skating, and it clearly showed. I actually cried during her short (technical) program! When she skated to Winter, it was for an exhibition that the skaters do on the last night of the competitions. (These competitions take place over several days) The amatuer rules state that you may not skate in competition to music with lyrics. Check your tv guide, sometimes they say whether it's the exhibition or not. You *might* get lucky during the Campbells Soup Tour of Champions after the Olympics, which is a tour and comes to DC (I've gone several times) and maybe she'll skate to it then. As far as future events prior to the Olympics, I can't remember if the Worlds (World Championships) are held before or after the Olympics. In competition, a skater usually has a program she/he works out during the off season and uses that throughout the year. Sometimes they go back to an old one in a competition, but not usually. So you'll see Michelle skate the same programs. Slainte, steph (who really thinks that Tara Lapinski has no grace whatsoever. She may have the jumps, but there's no feel, no artistry. That was nutz, but kinda gave me a warm whoosh. But while on the subject I must tell you all that the screen saver was not made by yours truly. It was made by a friend on mine from the IRC named GinaWina (Gina Senior). Her screensaver is on her Tori page called Tori Dust (http://www.geocities.com/~ginawina/toridust.html) Check it out and keep going to my page! Take care! :) Thanks! === From, Ashley Blaize ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hold on to nothing as fast as you can" - Tori Amos ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tea With the Waitress - http://waitress.home.ml.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you know of any great Tori news or any insights, please let me know for my page! If that is true, it still doesn't stop people from saying they believe in faeries. Thanks for backing me up :) Don't get me wrong, guys, I'm not slamming on people if they *do* believe in faeries.....I'm just questioning the motives for their beliefs. I see Tori as such an open minded person herself, so why would she take such a narrow minded path and say that people who disbelieve in a very marginal semi-pagan thing aren't worth talking to? Talking about Tori's view of drugs is fine, but general discussions of drugs (which is what many of the messages lately have become) belong somewhere besides precious-things. Hi there! I feel like I'm one of the only people who stayed out of the "flub-ups" post frenzy that happened a while back, and I'm not necessarily trying to initiate another one, but I was trying to think of my own, and I realized that "Sister Janet" has got to be one of the most amazing (yet hard to understand) songs that Tori has written. Case in point, my many "Sister Janet" flub-ups . . . Actual Lyric: "Master Shaman . . ." I sang: "Must have shown them . . ." Actual Lyric: "With your perfect wing, a wing can cover all sorts of things . . ." I sang: "With your perfect thing, oh we can cover all sorts of things . . ." Actual Lyric: "Oh I think I could try this, once again" I sang: "Oh I think I could drive us, once again" Whoops! But the funniest I've heard is when I was listening to "Etienne", and my brother popped in the room, and asked why Tori was singing about "the machine that mom sticks her bank card into to get money" (meaning ATM). That got a good giggle! Well, that's my little contribution. Good night, everyone!
