There is already a very well done fake nude of Tori posted all over the net (including commercial sites) Her head has been attached to the body of a Japanese woman with a very lovely body (IMHO) and the skin tones expertly matched. For those not so thin skinned it's actually a very fetching photo even if it is a fake. A lawsuit would be absurd. First, Tori would have to prove damages and this is the same woman who sang about masturbating when she was a child while Daddy was downstairs having a "prayer meeting." A contemporary judge and jury would really have fun with that one. Not to mention the woman who breast-fed a piglet in public (oops, wrong thread). Secondly, a suit would take too much time and energy away from what is, to Tori, probably much more important activities (like songwriting, for instance). > I just think it happens...I would never think she'd do this > publicly on purpose, Why not? Sorry Mike but, as much as I admire and respect you and your opinions, I disagree with you once again (imagine that). I think that sitting at her bench sans panties would be very much in keeping with the Tori who enjoys flaunting the "rules" of society; the Tori who rebels against all the bullshit that tries to tell women what they can and can't do in public (or private either, for that matter). > but it very well could've been an accident, so keep an > open mind (MIKEWHY!!!!) She'll still be the same old Tori!!!! The Tori I know of just doesn't do things pertaining to her public performing personna by "accident." Anything she does on stage I believe she has well thought through (except for some of her off the cuff remarks that we all love so much). Of course she's still the same Tori, whatever that means. And Mike IS very open-minded. He just has to defend Tori from stupid attacks is the same way any protective older brother would do. I too, think it's "cute." About the picture. I don't believe it to be real. I've spent most of my life as a professional photographer during which time I've photographed a lot of entertainers and stage productions. Stage lighting (depending upon the venue) is 25 to 50 degrees above the eye level of the performer and very harsh (a lot of contrast). Notice the darkly shadowed eyes in concert pics. This would throw the crotch area of all but the shortest of skirts in unphotographable darkness. So what about footlights? Most venues, except the oldest, don't even have footlights (any of you Aussies know about the theater in question?). The few places that have them rarely use them because they make people ugly in a similar fashion to shining a flashlight under your chin. Try it if you never have. But, if there were footlights AND they were fully lighted (both highly improbable), it might have been possible for Tori to "expose" herself when she turned to talk to the audience. What I really don't understand is, "Why is this such an important issue?" Can anyone explain. If she did perform sans undies I think it's great. And if she did, I hope, and expect, that Tori would say to anyone who didn't approve, "Well you can just kiss my bare little butt!" When I called to request my very own copy of the _Great Expectations_ soundtrack, the nice intern at Atlanic sent me an extra copy! It's not the score - it's a second copy of the "pop"-oriented soundtrack. Since I'm sensitive to the needs of other Toriphiles, I wanted to put my second copy up on the auction block. The price is $10 (US)/best offer, and Austrailian and UK bids get first priority. (Please bear in mind that this is a no-frills advance copy, and if you want the full-colour booklet and enough photos of Ethan Hawke to boggle the mind, look elsewhere.) As far as the soundtrack itself...the Tori songs are of course breathtaking and wonderful. A tear came to my eye as I listened to "Finn (Intro)", and when "Siren" came on, I first stopped what I was doing and then started dancing around the room. This song is AMAZING, reminding me why I love Tori in the first place. It's thunderous and graceful, and when it was over I had goosebumps. I started out with LE and I believe strongly that a newcomer must listen to the albums chronologically. I haven't decided where More Pink fits in. Maybe right after LE, though. Anyway, I listened to BfP and I just couldn't bring myself to spend a lot of time with the second half of the album. I think I stopped at Hey Jupiter and just couldn't go on. There was something stopping me. It's like being in a class that's way too difficult and feeling bored because you can't understand--you're just not there yet. Well, I had a strange urge to listen to the Doughnut Song and I started to tear up. I was all forclempt and had to listen again, and again. Well, I've recently (in the past couple of weeks) discovered the second half and I'm hooked on Putting the Damage On. I think that one can grow up with Tori by listening to all three albums in chrono-time. But I couldn't figure what what wrong with me and why I couldn't get the rest of it. I realized that I just wasn't ready. BfP is so moving for me, it just evokes so much. I can honestly say that I can bring relation to every song, so it's hard to say which means the most to me. But the entire album moves me so much that I feel like I'm breaking down those walls over and over again--reliving the hell I thrived in every time I listen to it and then the end brings me to clear and I'm "way beyond the pale".
