What I hear at the beginning seems to have words mingled into the siren song.. I hear "alive" in there. And then a bunch of "no's": no where no heal no she bye no finish line no heal no she bye no kill no lie never was one for a pretty girl cool kiss call me for an ambulance wish i held a little stomach handy (Mick I have no idea where you can hear "cellular" in there!) almost afraid almost afraid and almost in a , almost meaning it all, meaning it all meaning it all after the two almost afraids it sounds like she says somehing different before repeating almost meaning it all. But I can't figure out what it is. It could just be "meaning it all" again. hmm, interesting, I wasn't looking too hard to tie it all together as I played the clip over and over, but now I look back at what I've typed and there's "heal", "kill", "alive", "ambulance"... maybe in addition to the "Siren" being a siren song, it's also an "emergency" siren? "almost meaning it all" begins to be the first of the new tori lyrics that resonates with me. even if it's just my imagination. tori lyrics that aren't what she wrote but are still what I hear count too. - -abbe ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Oct 1997 04:45:51 -0300 From: Laura Subject: 4.20 am new Tori.. Tell you what, fellow ears with feet, if this is what Tori meant about her next album having a band, I think we're all going to be happy! That song was just too cool...It definately sounded like the next step in Tori's music...or something like that. Okay, I'm looking at the RAINN Promo poster I have of Tori on my wall. She's gorgeous in the picture (as usual) but she does look a little sickly in it. Anorexic? Tweaker? That's what I think when I see the picture. Her chest looks caved in and her arms are so skinny... cheekbones prominent. I think the poster for RAINN reads poster girl for victim. Not rape, but victim, yeah. I think maybe that's where Fiona might be coming from? I don't know... I'm probably being stupid on this one Michael L. The film Great Expectations is *loosely* based on the 19th century novel by Charles Dickens of the same name. According to the September issue of Premiere, the plot goes something like this: "Dickens gets the 'Clueless' treatment in this presesnt-day take on his much-adapted 19th century novel, which follows a poor kid (Ethan Hawke) who leaves Florida for New York, where he becomes an artist tortured by encounters with a mysterious convict (Robert deNiro) and takes a shine to an icy aristocrat (Gwyneth Paltrow)." Hope this helps! I'm not so sure I actually want to see the movie, but I am dying to hear the soundtrack! Bright Blessings and Lollipops!
