And in response to those of you who asked me what the items are: 1. Promo cd: 'New Music from Tori Amos....is coming soon' I don't know if that is the correct official title, but that's what it says on the cover. The CD contains about 8 tracks (I don't have it in front of me right now). 2. CK/RAINN T-shirt. Now, before anyone starts complaining that I'm ripping off RAINN or trying to make money out of them or whatever, let me explain my situation. I'm in the UK and the RAINN t-shirts aren't available to buy here, so I had a friend in the US send me two RAINN t-shirts, one of which I kept for myself, and the other I will sell to someone else IN THE UK OR EUROPE, for the same price I bought it, so i'm not making a profit. I would also prefer to sell to the CD to someone in the UK or Europe to reduce mailing costs etc. Anyone interested, email me. You know the one from Downward Spiral that goes "I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel pain". I can kinda imagine Tori doing it,musically at least it is appropriate for her. Hmmm. This is interesting, because Tori did not perform Putting the Damage On *or* Crucify at the RAINN benefit. Now I'm really intrigued as to what this video is! I'm looking for accurate info on the RAINN video and on the tape format it's in before I go. Stephan and others: what are the different video formats things are available in? If I'm going to watch it in the US, I need VHS (or friends with spiffy video equipment - which is not entirely impossible...) I had always thought most european stuff was in PAL format. Then Stephan mentioned this SECAM format as well. So, which is it likely to be? Does it look like there will be a good way to get the tape in VHS format in the US, or should I grab it in whatever format is available while I'm visitng Paris and deal with converting it later? I can probably find a way to get it converted from PAL, and I might be willing to work something out so that other people could see it too... - -abbe ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V2 #289 *************************************
