Troy asked: > Does anyone know where you can purchase concert photographs?? > I'm especially looking for live photographs of either Tori Amos > or Sarah McLachlan. I wasn't gonna post about this, because it's not exactly what you asked after, and I also don't have the entire scenario down, but someone here may be glad to know about this. Maybe even Troy. :-) At the Concert for RAINN in January I struck up a conversation with the fellow in the seat next to me, who told me he was a photographer. He said he had taken photos of Tori during soundcheck photo ops. He gave me his card which is for a company called Photo Web, which sells photos from a web site. As of a couple days ago, I hadn't bothered to check it out, but I knew I still had the guy's card in my shirt pocket. Well, sure enough, there are 16 different photos of Tori in their database. All of them are soundcheck photo op shots, taken in NYC from all three tours. The fellow who gave me his card, Steve Eichner, is listed as the photographer for some but not all of them. To find these go to www.photography.com. What a choice URL, huh? They have a swell search engine for searching their database. Select "band" from the pop-up subject menu and type in "amos" under the relevant window and all 16 Tori shots come up so you can see what they look like. Okay. Here's the fly in the ointment. You have to somehow register with the site to be able to buy from them. I'm sure it's a standard deal where you can call them and set up an account with a credit card, or make some other arrangement, but I didn't see any way to do this described on their web site. Weird. I suggest writing email to someone there and asking them for the particulars. Steve Eichner seems to me to be as good a person to write as any, so here's his email address: psychner@panix.com. > Any help would be great! I'm taking Troy at his word, there. :-) Good luck. If anyone finds out the deal with ordering from these people I'd be interested in hearing it. And they have a ton of photos on there, so I'd be shocked if Sarah was not among them. BTW, Sarah was about 15 rows behind me at the Concert for RAINN, and she was smiling and signing autographs and being as friendly as she could be. It was nice to witness that. "Kind" is good. The world needs more "kind." The disc is the same on the outside. Inside, you'll find two discs. The liner in the front is the same. On the back inside cover, there is a listing of the songs on the second disc. This disc was a special tour release for Australia and New Zealand only, so all More Pink discs will look like this. > 2) Does anyone have a recording of the Oct. 22, 1996 Miami DDI show? Hi!!! I'm new to this list, so I thought that I should introduce myself. My name is Anki and I'm from Sweden. I don't really remember why I began to listen to Tori, I think Cornflake Girl was the song that first hooked me. And now I'm in love with all of Tori's music. I have three questions that I hope someone can help me with: 1: Can I find any Tori Amos piano sheet music on the Net, or do I have to buy it in a music-store? 2: Who is Anastasia? 3: And who is Angie Dickinson? Anastasia in the song "Yes, Anastasia" is the daughter of the Russian Czar Nikolas II who, along with the entire royal family, was killed by the Bolsheveks {sorry if I spelled *that one* wrong :)} in 1917 during the Russian Revolution. I've seen on the web that Tori had food poising one night and saw an apparition {or was it felt the presence of...} Anastasia {who is widely rumoured to have survived the massacre and fled to Paris with amnesia} who demanded Tori tell her story in the form of a song. Hence, "Yes, Anastasia" was born. There is a *wonderful* movie Anastasia in the classics section of your local video rental store {it rocks! y'all should *definately* check it out!} and Fox is releasing a cartoon version in theaters around Thanksgiving.
