Why? Several folks have had trouble in their dealings with IGG. IGG has shipped incorrect merchandise {or not shipped at all}, has refused to do refunds {"in-store credit" only}, and their customer service folks have been, to say the best, rude. A month or two ago, IGG posted to several Tori forums asking that folks forward anti-IGG notes to them, and that th people who did so would receive a free Tori gift with their next order. A little while ago, IGG was -selling- the RAINN promo brochures {with the picture of Tori in the black RAINN shirt and flowery skirt}. You know, the brochures that RAINN distributed to raise awareness of the hotline. That alone rather ticked me off, but that's another story. In my perusal of their site, for many items, they're rather overpriced. I've seen them offer the UK ltd CfG for $150! Please note that I personally have not done business with them. However, given the rather large number of folks in the various Tori forums who have had trouble with them, I have no intent of starting a business relationship with them. /nad *************************************************************************** * Nadyne Mielke, CS majour, Southern Tech, Marietta, GA * * * * "I regret to say that we of the FBI are powerless to act in cases of * * oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate * * commerce. I want to have it the third weekend in October, after the Jewish Holidays are over, and have it somewhere in Boston - but I do not have ANY ideas for where, unless we just meet outside and hang out and chat - I do think a room with electricity and a VCR would be nicer though. IGG sucks!!! why? well, when i've dealt with them in the past they've messed up email orders of mine REPEATEDLY, then have taken forever or NEVER to correct the mistake. when they had to big tori sale back in march, i ordered a copy of CFG 7" and the sleeve looked like it had been through 2 wars. the vinyl and sleeve for the PTM 7" looked even worse. they said to send it back to them and they'd send me mint copies, which made me wonder WHY they TRY to push off crap to us in the first place! i mean, with vinyl the condition of the p/s is VERY important (at least to me). anyway, they NEVER sent me a new copy of CFG or PTM, so i sent a letter to them the other day with the copy of my original order, telling them to send me the new items (i returned the others to them) and i was filing a complaint with the post-master general on the grounds of fraud. i urge EVERYONE else who's been screwed over by IGG to contact the post office about how to file a complaint---legally we don't have to put up with this crap!!!!! well, that's my 2 cents worth! john On Tue, 30 Sep 1997, Stephanie Handley wrote: > Date: Tue, 30 Sep 1997 14:55:42 -0400 > From: Stephanie Handley > To: "precious-things-digest@smoe.org" > Subject: IGG > > Hello everyone! > I've been lurking for a while and I've noticed people don't like to > order from IGG.
