Tori *is* invovled, but I'm not sure quite how. Sean Connery declined the role of Destiny. - -All work on "Death:The High Cost Of Living" has been halted until Sandman comes out. - -"Neverwhere" was a mini-series on BBC that has nothing to do with The Endless or DC Comics. There's a series of Neverwhere books coming out. I don't know about a movie. - - There's a "Books of Magic" TV show in development. It was a really cool series by Neil Gaiman about the origins of the Endless and all the Magic in the DC Universe. Can anyone tell me if Crucify is a good album? (I'm assuming yes, but I just would like to have confirmation that I spent my money well. ;) ) Are there any other CDs out there that you guys would recommend buying? I currently own Hey Jupiter, Under the Pink, Little Earthquakes, and Boys For Pele. I can't really afford things like Y Kant Tori Read and I have personal ethical problems with bootlegs, so I guess I'm curious more about mass produced, legal albums. ;) Thanks for your help! Hey Richard, I've been wondering and wondering and wondering... what does the H.G. stand for at the end of your signatures? Enquiring minds want to know! ;) Hey Jennifer, good to see another University Of Illinois grad on the list! I graduated from U of I two years ago with a degree in music education- now I teach band in the public schools. As far as I know, though...there are NO Tori arrangements out there for junior high bands. What a travesty! - but on the other hand, I don't know if *I* would want to sit through a squeaking and honking version of Silent All These Years... ;) Chris wombats@earthlink.net ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Sep 1997 13:18:29 -0500 From: "Ellis, Melanie S" Subject: oops oops Its Richard handal, not handel sorrry! Since then, the craftmanship on these pianos just isn't as great... Thats why, if when you look in the classified section of newspapers and someone is selling a steinway, a date is listed sometimes(note the date will almost always be 70's or before)... If a date isn't listed, then its probably a more recent piano and isn't a "true" Steinway. So look at the dates- Thats how you can tell if its a REAL steinway :) I agree with whoever said it was probably a cheap like few hundred dollar piano... so it very well could have been a steinway. These pianos are FAAAARRRR from the quality of a bosey! hope I helped :) namaste, catherine* - -- "I found the secret to life I found the secret to life... and I'm okay when everything is not okay" -Tori Amos, Upside Down ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Sep 1997 16:05:55 -0400 (EDT) From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Re: bovines On Fri, 19 Sep 1997, Ellis, Melanie S wrote: > BTW, has anybody heard about a Tori promo item for Smells Like Teen > spirit? > Its a deodorant stick that says Sounds Like Tori Amos? > I would love to get one...but ill settle for hearing about it cuz it > probably cost an arm and a leg (Ill skip the armpit-deodorant joke > there) There's a picture of it {and lots of other cool promo stuff} in _Tori Amos Collectibles_ by Paul Campbell. Take a box for the deodorant Smells Like Teen Spirit, and put an orange-and-white sticker on it that says "Smells Like Tori Amos!" and you've got it. ;) For us mere mortals who don't have every single Tori item, nor can afford it, I highly recommend the Collectibles book. It has pictures of close to everything {I say "close to" only 'cause ISTR Greghewritesletters saying that it was missing an item, but don't quote me!}, and certainly quite a lot of stuff that I'd never seen. /nad *************************************************************************** * Nadyne Mielke, CS majour, Southern Tech, Marietta, GA * * * * "I regret to say that we of the FBI are powerless to act in cases of * * oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate * * commerce.
