But, I doubt it is a perm since the color is permanent- the nice thing about having a stylist is they they curl it for you. You can perm over color, but with reds it is difficult to keep the color from fading and going brassy. And permanent color takes the natural wave out of your hair, to some extent. I know people are going to get mad about us talking about Tori's hair, but well, there's not much else going on. I think her hair *is* rather curly. The times that I've seen her with curly hair, it's times I don't think she had a stylist around. In Silent All These Years, her baby pictures show her with these adorable baloney (I like *that* spelling) curls. She straightens her hair more now a days. When it has those big curls - that's a stylist straightening, then curling it. I wish I had someone following me around, freshening my make-up and curling my hair :-). There is a differance in "curly" and really tight curly (the permed look)- They probably helped the curls out a bit in the picture not to mention, that was the best way for me to describe it to the person who asked. Okay, I will add my 2 cents to this discussion. I hope I don't sound superficial, but i think I can add a bit to it. :) Judging from pictures, videos and the time when I saw her in person, I think Tori suffers from the same hair dilemma that I do. My hair is somewhere between curly and wavy. Depending on the weather, my luck and the mood my hair is in, it may be more curly OR wavy, or just plain frizzy (ick!). Judging from her baby picks and childhood pics, I'd venture to say she has had the exact (or almost) same "hair history" as I have. We've both just about tried everything with our hair, and nothing but just letting it just go natural seems to work very well. Don't get me wrong, I like her hair straight but it looks rather unnatural. Anyway, Tori doesn't seem like the type who really drags her stylist _everywhere_ (like many supermodels and Hollywood types)--I mean, she looks so, well, normal (hair-wise anyway) and natural, in her clothing and makeup as well as her hair when she's on stage. Even so, the professional studio type pics are bound to look amazing because she does have someone there to make her look all glamorous and stuff--that is the point, after all! Hoping that this doesn't make me seem too superficial (I'm not--comfort above glamour any day!), Yvette. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Definitions are limiting.
