Hi all, I just got this over on the Poe mailing list: >"Today" is the name of the song that POE is working on with the Dust > Brothers (producers) and will be released on The "Great > Expectations" Movie Soundtrack. This has a street release date of > November 11, 1997 Sounds pretty interesting to me. I don't know what the movie is gonna be like, but I'm pretty darn excited about how the soundtrack is shaping up. - -Casey =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= / "If I shed a tear, I won't cage it ... if I feel a rage I won't / \ deny it ... I apologize for taking up space here, but it's the best way for me to contact a large number of subscribers. If you are on RDT and have been worried (as I was) by the recent disappearance of that list, this is to let you know that all is well. Chris Meyers apparently went off on vacation and will be back later this week. I plan to scream at him when he gets back for worrying me so much that I wrote a frantic message to his service provider and told them I thought he was dead in a gutter somewhere. Sheesh. I'll kill him when he gets back. >:< Violet xoxox ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Aug 97 02:06:05 -0700 From: Greg Burrell Subject: New Tori News Hi Everybody, Here's the latest. Enjoy! -Greg FRESH TORI NEWS!!! Last week Tori did a phone interview with radio station 99X (Atlanta, GA). Tori reports that she is currently in the tropics doing song writing and recording. She also says she has to finish up in the next three weeks. Tori added that she's happy with her current relationship and that, as a result, this may be a more "joyous" album. No mention of its release date, title, or any other future plans. 99X Radio station 99X of Atlanta has released a CD to benefit RAINN. Titled "Live X 3: RAINN Songs", this CD features Tori's live version of "Silent All These Years" recorded at the Lifetime concert this past January. This is the same version as on the recent "Silent All These Years" 1997 US CD single. Other artists on the album include jewel, Melissa Etheridge, Dave Matthews Band, Bush, and Joan Osborne. Check out the 99X web site for more details - http://www.com/99x GREAT EXPECTATIONS No word on what song(s) Tori did for the "Great Expectations" soundtrack. The movie is scheduled for a late-December release so the soundtrack will probably be out in early December, in time for Christmas. _________________ |\ | | _/ .`-| Greg Burrell | , http://www.webville.com/~tori \ .4 | ---------- |\__// `--'\|gregb@netcom.com|`--' C|________________| ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Aug 1997 09:00:40 From: Dave Woodson Subject: poll of the century Time magazine is having a poll to pick their Man or Woman of the Century in five different categories. Hmmm. I don't know where mikey got the idea that Tori-boot was decicated to trading. *I* certainly never had that intent.... Woj is correct, it was originally started as an info source about CD bootlegs. All being told now, with the dearth of CD boots since the NYC busts, I don't mind people talking about tapes on there. However, I don't want Tori-boot to be a place where people stricly post lists of their shows to trade. It is also not a place for selling tapes.
