Did anyone catch this Friday night on MuchMusic? They had a Tori spotlight. I taped it. They played the following videos: Silent All These Years, Crucify, Corn Flake Girl (UK Ver.), Pretty Good Year, and Caught A Lite Sneeze. It is great. I'm glad I taped it. It also has vaious live performances and interview clips. IT's cool. Anyone else catch this? - -- *******************Queen Tori********************************* "I'm a musician first, a food-lover second, a dirty mouth with feet, and a girl last time I checked." -Tori Amos "I always thought I'd make a good girlfriend for Jesus." -Tori Amos "I don't know if I trust that much, but I trust the songs." -Tori Amos "If you're divided then you're in continuous torment, because you never allow yourself to fully experience anything." -Tori Amos You have just received e-mail from Doug Hitzel. In an interview (or article, I'm not) sure in Musician magazine, Tori had said something about the characters in her songs, the way she feels them, and can't sing the songs if she doesn't feel them. Then she said something like "I don't know what a shrink would call me, I don't think I want to know", I'm not sure of the exact words. I'd have to check it next week. Anyway, that kind of suggests she's never seen one. - -alicia At 08:45 AM 13-08-1997 -0400, you wrote: >Tori has never been to a psychiatrist. (brooke, nad, melissa, jennifer.. RUN now as fast as you can! i think i know who would get there first :P) other peoples... if you have a record town near you, check the import clearance section thoroughly! - -rusty ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Aug 1997 18:23:48 -0400 From: gerryjd Subject: Re: tori tv appearances on video ! Apparently part of Neil's tv series Neverwhere was written in a house that Tori was living in London. Apparently said house was built into the side of a bridge, over-looking a canal, which Neil says explains why there is a lot of water in episode 4 of the series. Also apparently Tori is pestering Neil to do the soundtrack for the upcoming Death: The High Cost of Living film, which Neil willl be directing and adapting. This info came from a trasncription of chat session that Neil had at the San Diego Comicon, I think. The film is really only in it's infant stages, Neil is still working on the script and learning how to direct (or so I've been told). I don't know whether this means that Tori will be doing a soundtrack or a score or possibly both, but it is something to look forward to. I taped it when it first aired and the re-run was cut. There was a half hour missing because MTV cut every episode to fit into their stupid 10 Spot crap. On the original you get Tori talking about how some guy go his penis pierced and his ring got ripped out. Tori couldn't keep a smile off of her face the whole time...funny stuff. ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V2 #224 *************************************
