(Hmmm... that sounds rather funny now... but anywho...) I have read several articles where Tori states she uses hallucinogens strictly for inspirational purposes... now if I could just find one of those articles. At a concert once she taped a shroom to her piano supposedly... BTW, haven't we covered this before? Oh no, wait that was on the RDT list. Why dang it, hold on... AHA!!! Mikewhy covered this very nicely in a letter to which he posted to RDT. Incase ya'll are interested, heres the addy to it. Its good reading. It's on from 9-10 PM. I think that it'll be just a 5-10 minute segment with her that they've shown bits of before. It's channel 22 or 12 in most places around Maryland. Sorry about the crossposting and the nonrelevance outside of the area. Paul Kim ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Mar 1997 20:56:33 -0600 (CST) From: karrie@ix.netcom.com (Xena W. If you place Tori on a pedastal, and discover that she's just like you and me, and capable of the same faults (i.e. hallucinogens, margaritas) as us "normal humans," you become disillusioned and lose respect for her. 1. Tori Amos is NOT a goddess. She is human. 2. Tori Amos is NOT a role-model. She is human. 3. Tori Amos is NOT perfect. She is human. When you transform Tori into a goddess you place a whole lot of weight on her shoulders. She has a lot to live up to, and being human, she might not be able to reach the image of her that you create. Last time I checked, she didn't have wings. =) - -- David/Figg ======================================================= Drawn to the Rhythm. Like the wise David says, Tori is just a woman who happens to be, IMHO, a musical genious... Also- being she is part native american, certain groups use mushrooms and peyote as part of their religious ceremony... Free your mind- everything that DARE and the govewrnment tells you about drugs isn't true! - -K On Tue, 25 Mar 1997, Figg wrote: > Xena W.
