Today I *finally* got the Mick St. Michael CD and interview > disc. On the second interveiw, in regards to BFP, she said there is 4 > "Intros & Outros". Does anyone have a hunch which ones she speaks of? BQ > and Horses must be intros... > ~Kimmy > I have that CD too.....I believe she's talkign about the 4 'minor' songs: Beauty Queen, Way Down, Agent Orange and Twinkle. I don't know whether you've noticed, but if you look at the track listing on the CD cover of BfP, I think you'll see that these 4 songs are indented on the list, a couple of spaces to the right of the other songs...if you see what i mean :) Hope that helps! Um, I thought in that big article in Spin (I have a copy somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look for it among this mess) Tori talked about this and about how the whole album symoblized the Egyptian body or something (?) I think she said that the 4 intros/outros were something like the four senses or wind and fire.... I can't remember. Am I making this up, or did she really say this? If you live in the Tampa Bay area, MARS: The Musician's Planet in Tampa has it. They also have at least 2 copies of all of the songbooks (LE, UTP, Bee Sides, BFP, and Unplugged). This is an awesome store, especially if you're a musician. (Even if you're not, they've got cool memorabilia like handwritten Jimi Hendrix lyrics and John Lennon's jacket from "Help" to keep you busy.) Enough babble... If you live nearby (I drove an hour and a half), check it out. It's definitely worth it. Also- i believe that Twinkle is an outro.... just like BQ is an intro- in the Tori Amos Collectable thing it says "The LPs varied from the CD in that the tracks marked with * were not given numbers. Tori intended to open each side of the vinyl with a short introduction track to the rest of the songs on each side, although BQ segues into Horses with no break. The final track, Twinkle, is also not given a trach number on the vinyl. Onl;y one song on the CD, BQ is not given a track number...." so each of those songs acts as an introduction to the side of the vinyl....
