Yeah, she was on and did a killer version of "Father Lucifer" with bits of "Tubular Bells" and "Smalltown Boy" thrown in for good measure. Hate to split hairs here, but the song actually is Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells." Tori does happen to be covering the part of the song that was used as the theme to The Exorcist, though. "Tubular Bells" preceded the film. After The Exorcist's director heard the song, he chose an excerpt from it (the infamous first four minutes or so) to be used as the film's theme--albeit without Oldfield's permission. I agree with Violet that Tori's putting it (and "Smalltown Boy," as well) into "Father Lucifer" is very cool. I heard this version live in Greensboro--definitely a highlight of the show--and was thrilled she chose it for Letterman. And for anyone wondering, "Smalltown Boy" ("run away...turn away...") is by the UK band Bronski Beat. It's what many would consider a gay anthem from the mid-80's. It's about a gay kid having to leave home with everything he owns in one bag and make it on his own.
