Sorry to disappoint you, but that's the nature of news. Tori Amos' segment is now scheduled for August 21st, and it is not expected to change. Of course, if there is a major news story that happens that day or that week, it is subject to change. But as of right now that is the absolute schedule date. Thanks for writing PrimeTime Live. The Tori Amos segment promises to be a great one. We hope you enjoy it. ------------------------------ From: maybe the last real beer in america Date: Wed, 7 Aug 1996 17:30:56 -0400 Subject: tori on primetime >From dsbailey@ingr.com Wed Aug 7 13:10:06 1996 >Date: Wed, 7 Aug 1996 11:43:46 -0500 >From: "Bailey, Doug S" >To: torinews@chihuly.com ("'torinews@chihuly.com'") >Subject: Tori on PrimeTime > >PT Live responded to my query, looks like we get to be >disappointed once again, ;-) this time on August 21st. >I'll be watching... > >Doug >dsbailey@ingr.com > >>---------- >> >>We were very sorry to have to change the scheduled segment on Tori >>Amos, but >>that is the nature of the news department. Sounds Like ABC Got Flooded ... Sorry for posting so much today, but I really got a kick out of this last one. My original post to ABC was pretty rude, and their reply was very nice, so I apologized to them ... and this is what they wrote back: "To be honest, the overwhelming response to our postponement of Tori's segment was complete and total outrage. I can't believe how loyal her fans are! We certainly had no idea. Thanks for your note. I believe that your patience will be rewarded in leaps and bounds, but do let us know what you think after the show." So evidently ABC now knows of our loyalty to Tori. Hee hee. The faerie in me is getting a *huge* kick out of this. :) Mike ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V1 #145 *************************************
