Before I sent it in to RDT, I sent a copy privately to Mike Whitehead, and he already managed to slap it up on his wonderful tour reference site. It's longer than I feel comfortable posting to Precious Things and ToriNews, (unless the respective list owners really tell me they would like that), so I'm just giving out the URL for it, here. Anyone without web access let me know if you want a copy, and I'll send one to you in email. There's also another lovely review of the same night on there, which was touching to read. There's even a copy of the Oregonian newspaper review, which I'd managed to track down two days later in a Seattle newsstand, and of which I now have an electronic copy. :-) Mike's site is an excellent reference source. He filled a definite gap when he created it. All this can be found at: http://www.win.net/mikewhy/tourjuly.html#port2 Mike put this note on top of it: Note From Mikewhy: This is long but worth the read I assure you :) Thanks, Mike. I'd been meaning to get that for a long time, as it was referred to in the bio _All These Years_ as a "December 1980 issue of the Washington Post." When I was having lunch in San Jose with Greg and Violet after the Tori soundcheck meeting, I told them I was going to slog through the Post microfilm when I had a chance to and find it. Hence my personal note to them. ;-) (Violet found herself ordering Chicken Cacciatore, which was hilarious.) I know people are busy--I'm busy--but it's kinda surprising to me that no one had turned that up before as it had been mentioned in print, when clearly a few minutes at a microfilm reader would bear sweet fruit. Funny. Glad to do what I can. Now that I've given the date and page number, anyone else can now go get the microfilm at a library near where they live and have the photo, too. :-) She looks more like the Tori we know now in that photo than in any other photos I've seen from that era. And she's got, as a woman I know who went to junior high with her always calls it, "that million-dollar smile."
