All of the addition tracks on this single are dance remixes, none of which were done by Tori. 1. LP Mix (4.31) 2. Armand's Star Trunk Funkin' Mix (8:08) 3. MK Mix (7.20) 4. Just Da Funk Dub (3.44) 5. MK Vampire Dub (6.56) 6. Armand's Instrumental (5.35) 7. Bonus Beats (4.31) Strangely enough, none or our normal sources at Atlantic were even aware of this single. Their focus is still on the upcoming "Hey Jupiter" single. It appears that this "Professional Widow" single may have been intended for the dance remix market rather than the mass market. TV Appearances The story about Tori and her fans which was to have appeared on Primetime Live on June 26th was bumped to make room for a story on the terrorist bombings in Suadi Arabia. It has been reported that it will now be shown on July 24th. Tori's MTV Unplugged appearance will air on MTV in Europe at midnight on the night of August 7th. In Print Watch for a story on Tori and her devoted fans in this coming week's edition of Entertainment Weekly. We don't know the issue date, but a story about the movie Independence Day will be on the cover. Also currently on the newstand are issues of Billboard and InStyle with articles about Tori. Tori Escapes from Los Angeles We've heard reports that Tori will have a song on the song track for the upcoming movie Escape From Los Angeles. Although we haven't been able to confirm this, Tori did mention that she had an edit of "Putting The Damage On" that might be appearing in a film. The track, which adds military drums and additional background vocals, was cut to just over three minutes with a single edit. "I just took the whole bridge out," said Tori, "and because of the military drum, it worked." "Hey Jupiter" Single Up Next The current single in Europe is "Hey Jupiter" which should be available now. Two versions are again expected with tracks to include "Hey Jupter (Dakota Version)", "Sugar" (live), "Honey" (live with Steve Caton), "Professional Widow (The Merry Widow Version)" (on Harmonium) and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (live). A US version is expected sometime later in July. Really Deep Thoughts - http://members.aol.com/rdteditor/rdt.htm - The Official P.O. Box 328606 Tori Amos Columbus, OH 43232 Missy & Richard Caldwell, Editor Fanzine ------------------------------ From: Jim Harris Date: Thu, 4 Jul 1996 12:24:17 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Upcoming Tori TV Appearances/Rebroadcasts I just wanted to summarize some information recently broadcast over the Internet, for those of you who may not have seen it in one form or another. Tori's "Crossroads" special will be rebroadcast on VH1 in the States at 11:00 pm EST on July 11th and 11:30 pm EST on July 23rd. This according to Richard Caldwell and also Greg Burrell. Tori's segment on "PrimeTime Live" is now scheduled to be shown on their July 24th show. It runs at 10:00 pm EST on ABC. This according to a post on rec.music.tori-amos and the date confirmed by Richard Caldwell. Tori's next release will be "Hey Jupiter". According to e-mail from someone in Britain, I have haerd that its release has been pushed back to July 22nd. Her latest release, "Professional Widow", is in the States. [As one who bought it, I'm not all that impressed: it's the original plus six rather poor dance mixes. No B-sides.] According to Richard Caldwell's latest post, Tori's MTV Unplugged special will be broadcast at midnight on MTV Europe on August 7th. I don't claim credit for originating any of this knowledge, I just am posting it to all the lists and to the newsgroup so that the information is well spread around. :) Mike ------------------------------ From: flaky white stuff Date: Thu, 4 Jul 1996 13:25:21 -0400 Subject: Tori on Dutch TV >From R.C.J.v.Melick@stud.tue.nl Thu Jul 4 10:57:48 1996 >Date: Thu, 4 Jul 1996 16:51:47 +0100 >From: Ruud van Melick >To: torinews@chihuly.com >Subject: Tori on Dutch TV > >On Monday July 8, 19:30 CET, the dutch TV channel NEDERLAND 3 will air >an OLD 15 minute documentary (Lola looks back) about Tori Amos. > >This was recorded near the end of 1992.
