Tori did a part of "Sweet Dreams" in the Royal Albert Hall in London on March 9th, 1996. She was already sitting at the organ and about to start "Hey Jupiter", when somebody requested very loud and clearly "Sweet Dreams". She hesitated for a second and then sang the song accompanied only with her hands drumming the rhythm on the body of organ like she does during "Caught A Lite Sneeze" on the Boesendorfer. At a point somewhere in the middle of the song she could not go on with the lyrics, but she kept on drumming and sang in the rhythm of the song something like "... and I don't know the words anymore but I won't stop singing this song...". She did another turn and then immediately started "Hey Jupiter" to the applause of the London audience. THis is the first chance I've gotten to be on a computer, and I don't have much time. The first Detroit show (7:00) I thought was the best show I've ever seen, until I saw the 11:00 show! I cannot believe how powerful and emotional, and how much energy she had at 11:00 at night! It was soooo awesome! Here are the setlists for the Detroit shows: 5/31/96 7:00 Beauty Queen/Horses Losing My Religion (after an intro talking about how her and her friend, some of us may know who he is, were asked by a movie company to write a romantic song, and they presented it to them, they said it wasn't romantic enough. She asked, now who's to say what's romantic and what's not? We thought it was romantic!) Crucify Caught a Light Sneeze (different from the album, really good though!) Space Dog Doughnut Song Cornflake Girl Marianne Happy Phantom Precious Things Not the Red Baron Flying Dutchman (SOOOOOOO incredibly awesome!) Talula Me and A Gun First Encore Let it Be Baker, Baker Second Encore In the Springtime of His Voodoo Sugar Hey, Jupiter 5/31/96 11:00 Beauty Queen/Horses Leather Blood Roses (excellent!) Little Amsterdam Cornflake Girl Honey Pretty Good Year (I love that song!) Take to the Sky ( I was sooo excited to hear it!) Putting the Damage On Precious Things Not the Red Baron Little Earthquakes Caught A Light Sneeze Me and a Gun First Encore Somewhere Over the Rainbow Winter (very cool!) Second Encore In the Springtime of His Voodoo Bells for Her (a shortened version, on the harpsicord- I think she was tired, as I would be after 4 hours of performing in one night!) The Grand Rapids show was really really great! I think what made it the best was the fact we were in third row, and could see every expression she made! It ran a close second (very close) to the 11:00 Detroit show! 6/2/96 Beauty Queen/Horses Icicle Blood Roses Father Lucifer (I was very surprised and excited to hear this!) Cornlake Girl Doughnut Song Little Earthquakes Happy Phantom Here in My Head Precious Things Not the Red Baron Caught a Light Sneeze Talula Me and a Gun First Encore Famous Blue Raincoat China Second Encore Mr. Zebra (tres cool!) Butterfly (I've never heard of her doing this in a show, so it surprised my boyfriend and I! It was a wonderful surprise though! It was truly awesome! especially with Caton!) Hey, Jupiter The harmonium was brought out in the first detroit show, as well as the Grand Rapids show, but not the second Detroit show. Gotta get goin!
