Both the one in the jewel case and the one in the separate slimline case are the latter of those versions, with "Scarlet Stories" and the track listing on the CD. After releasing .. Maybe it's just me, but I find it very satisfying to know that Tori ranks both in the top ten on a list with mainstream artists like Eminem, Christina Aguilera, Faith Hill, et al *AND* in the top ten with more obscure/much-less-commercial (and, in my opinion, more interesting) artists like Death Cab For Cutie, Interpol, Neko Case, Badly Drawn Boy, et al on another list. (I'm referring specifically to the Top Twenty Five list for sales at Sonic Boom Records here in Seattle on which SW is #3.) Two totally divergent markets; one redheaded force of nature. :-) - -- - - Brian Tanaka - - - contact info (im etc.): http://www.well.com/~btanaka/info - - tori web site: http://www.well.com/~btanaka/tori - - random tori quote: http://btanaka.freeshell.org/toriquotes ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 08 Nov 2002 21:54:59 -0500 From: Michael Curry Subject: Re: Scarlet's Walk opinions? I suppose it'll depend on your definition of "a lot." I too don't think that either the TVaB studio disc or Scarlet's Watch reach the level of the first four CDs (and I don't like SLG at all). I got SW in the mail on Monday, and after having listened to it six or seven times through... well, I like it okay, but I don't love it, and it doesn't move me the way any of the first four albums did (each in their own special way). It's too... smooth. Not raw enough. At least for me. I'll probably say more about specific songs once I've had it around a while longer. There was a discussion about it and how HMV is calling it an "exclusive" when many independant store are also giving it away. There's half a dozen in my area but there all difficult to get to and I didn't have the time so I bought it from HMV fo canada along with the single which is a fifth ($2.70) the cost of elsewhere. I got all of them for abrely more than what Tower Records is charging for either part plus a got the commentary CD. What amazes me is that the regular edition is #5 and the Ltd. Ed. is #6 in sales and they're charging more than any other store for it too! The had Nirvana at #1 and the new 8 Mile soundtrack at #2. >----- Original Message ----- > >You actually needed to pre-order the REGULAR edition. >The Limited Edition made no promise of you getting the >Scarlet Stories CD.
