I received the back issues only after emailing him in January, but, even after repeated emails, I have yet to receive any new issues. He has given me excuses such as that his printer wasn't working, that he was too busy, etc. He changed email addresses, but I was able to find the current one on the "yes, said" website, so I tried to contact him again in September. On September 18th, he emailed me that he would be sending me a check, which, of course, I have not received. Since then, I've emailed him again, and he's given me a very vague response, "I am sure you will be pleased soon." So, I'm looking for suggestions from any of you who may have had success either getting your subscription issues or your money back. Failing that, I'm providing information to any of you who might be thinking about subscribing. If there are any problems, please email me at jason@yessaid.com and all things will be good. thanks. jason - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Heather L. I wonder myself, except for this one interview where she was basically talking about people generally forcing their beliefs on her.. she mentioned the singer (can't remember her name) from the Pretenders who is a PETA member, and she basically said "she's kewl, but if she tried to force her PETA beliefs on me, I'd eat my arm." so I'd think she eats meat. No. InStyle Magazine (U.K.) October 2002 http://thedent.com/instyle1002.html The singer is in the marble-and-chrome kitchen, conferring with live-in chef Duncan Pickford, an industrial-sized Northerner who used to work with Robbie Williams. Tori's culinary skills extend to sandwiches, so a chef is something of a necessity. There will be seven people for lunch today, "which is about average", and Duncan is suggesting a menu of chicken, roast beef, potato salad and home-baked bread. Yes, this is a pop star home with no vegetarians or picky eaters. "oh yeah," Duncan chuckles, "she likes her meat. She even eats liver and onions. There's and excellent butcher in town. And she loves carbs, potatoes, sweet stuff. But she's conscious of her image and likes to stay slim, so I give her large portions of proteins and vegetables, and lots of fish, either from the local fishmongers or that I catch myself." It was on October 12th, that I emailed Jason twice, and all he wrote in his first response was: I'm sorry that things aren't as instant as you'd expect. It's true, you will receive mail soon. All he wrote in his second was: I do apologize. I'm sure you will be pleased soon. There was absolutely no mention of a check, or any specific information given for when *anything* would be mailed. Note that I had to post to a public list to get a specific answer of any kind from him -- and note that he said he "just sent" a check. I will definitely be checking the postmark on this check, should it even exist, and posting the information here for you all to review. Beware of this guy. LBW is a quarterly fanzine. Our seventh issue just went to our printer, and will be mailed to subscribers in the first week of November. LBW is professionally-printed, so you never have to worry that our editor's colour inkjet printer ran out of ink or broke down. We have a staff of 10 dedicated Toriphiles that works hard to get each issue out. So far, we have interviewed Neil Gaiman (issues 2 and 3), Tori's family archivist (issue 5 -- and a LBW exclusive, since he has never been interviewed by anyone before), as well as several other interesting people. Each issue includes an album review of an artist that Toriphiles might be interested in, as well as an Ask the Expert column for all of your burning Tori questions that you haven't been able to get answered elsewhere. LBW subscriptions are $15 for North American subscribers, and US$21 for the rest of the world. All of our issues have been delivered right on time. There aren't any questions on when, or if, you'll get your next issue. If you want to check out a sample issue, you can buy back issues on our website. Also, the current issue is available in Tower Records. More info about LBW is available at: http://www.little-blue-world.org/ There, you can buy back issues, subscribe to the zine, and learn about how to submit your own Tori article, story, poem, art, or photography. During the presale, I had gotten some decent seats, especially becuase i was looking for a block of 3 tickets. I was in the center, however in Section 202. Last night, i checked back on Ticketmaster and found tickets in the 102 section! They are awesome seats. It appears that Ticketmaster is now releasing some more good quality seats, so if anyone got seats for the show that werent as good as they hoped, check back! There are many tickets on sale in the Orchestra section. Just thought i would let you all know. - -Peter a fellow toriphile ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Oct 2002 21:59:41 -0400 From: dances with virgos Subject: seattle show on ticketmaster thanks to jake for the head's up!
