Hysterical! I'm tempted to write one saying that I bought one for my 68-year-old mother and now she won't come out of her room and I can't figure out why. *lol* "Mom just *loves* her magic broomstick!" Now I want one. Tori's comment (reading it, anyway) seemed like it was a great joke and may have been tongue-in-cheek, though you never can tell for sure. Taking it that way, along with the following comment ("I think that we have a whole group of people coming, we're very excited"), makes me think the album might be *even better* than we first expected. ;) Violet xoxox ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Sep 2002 00:04:43 -0500 From: "Carmen Riojas" Subject: tori's name found this, thought it interesting.... Psychologists say that it is not uncommon for very small children -- two, three years old -- to masturbate. Even tiny babies can be noticed rubbing their genitals on occasion. Children are very curious about exploring their bodies along with the rest of their expanding world, and -- lacking the self-consciousness and embarrassment that adults have -- they have no qualms about doing something that causes pleasant sensations for no other reason than that it feels good. They don't associate these sensations with "sex." To them, it's just one more interesting thing in the world. It's only when they get older and begin to discover that it's "bad" that they become fearful of getting caught and punished. In addition to self-exploration (i.e., masturbation), there is also a good deal of sex play between children. Think back to the "I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours" days. Most of us have been there, done that. While many people, as they get older, start to look back on it and feel like maybe they were weird and perverted, they're not; it is completely normal for children to go through this. Sadly, it is also "completely normal" for most adults to make children feel nasty and bad for doing something that is natural to them. And this is where we start to get so fucked up, sexually.
