Am I the only one? I saw Cate Blanchett in Bandits with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton and the resemblence was eerie. I looked for Cate pictures on the net but the similarities are better seen in motion. Anyway, thought I'd provide something ELSE to talk about besides the new album, tour, sampler, single...etc. LOL Cate picture: http://www.spacesurfer.com/wceleb/3905img/www/Cate_Blanchett:010p.jpg Tell me what you think. Tony What's more likely? That an all-powerful mysterious god created the universe and then decided not to give any proof of his existence? Or, that he simply doesn't exist at all? And that we created him so that we wouldn't have to feel so small and alone. -Eleanor Arroway, Contact ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 Aug 2002 09:23:13 +0100 From: "ForgottenSecret" Subject: RE: sampler In the U.K if you say you will release a single you do. That means a full blown release into the charts. Kinda odd for it to mean a different thing in different countries. << In the U.K if you say you will release a >single you do. > That means a full blown release into the charts. While we're on the subject, I'd just like to clarify the UK position, which is: That there is *currently* no single scheduled for Tori in the UK. However, their release list was last updated on August 6th, so anything could happen. Album is listed on the 14th October 2002 at the last revision, and that was confirmed to me earlier today. As of this lunch time, nobody at Sony UK's marketing department had heard a single note of the album much less sent any promos. When I saw that movie in the theaters I thought that as soon as I saw her on screen. All of my friends and family thought the same thing when they saw it and asked me if I agreed. Anyways, just thought I'd give my input! That is, to use the colloquial, pretty messed up. If the U.K. were to release Scarlet's Walk on the 14th and the U.S. didn't release it until the 30th, I daresay *someone* would be doing a lot of business in imports here in the U.S. :-) Sounds to me like there is some lack of communication going on. (All due respect, of course.) [Sorry, that was just *too* much for me to resist.] Be seeing you, Richard Handal, H.G. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 Aug 2002 15:05:47 -0400 From: "Becka" Subject: collectibles help Ok.. i know there is the book.. and a few websites..but i haven't really found what i was looking for... I'm looking to get rid of singles and some boots that I have paid money for.. is there something out there that gives MARKET value for imports, singles, boots, etc? I'm finding some on Amazon.. but there's a few that because of being out of print etc.. i cannot verify if it's the right thing or not.. Thanks! ~~Cheers becka http://www.dreaminginreality.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 08 Aug 2002 20:09:22 +0100 From: Charles&Wendy Subject: Re: Tori looks like Cate Blanchett Hey! And I thought it was just my Tori-obsessed mind playing tricks on me! : ) I watched "Bandits" recently, and the red hair definitely added to the effect, but it was when I saw "The Gift" that I first noticed the resemblance - I think you're right about the cheekbones and eyes, Cyndi, but there's even something about her mannerisms that reminds me of T. Hehe...I showed the Cate picture to my more confused half, and he said, "Yeah, she does look like Cate Blanchett"...which...er...just makes our point, I guess! *grin* ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 08 Aug 2002 15:30:35 -0500 From: "Nadyne Mielke" Subject: Re: collectibles help "Becka" asked: > I'm looking to get rid of singles and some boots > that I have paid money for.. is there something out > there that gives MARKET value for imports, singles, > boots, etc?
