Those guys are making some amazing stuff out there. Then went to NYC to do a session with an artist named bonnie mckee for a couple of days -- flew to nashville to do a drum clinic and check out the vintage drum show---thanks to everyone that made it out! Spent a week in L.A. recording a record with producer steve thompson(anthrax, metallica) got to rock out.I am now in L.A. rehearsing with Gavin Rossdale( singer for Bush) for the Jay Leno show on tues. the 6th of aug.-----I'll be going to the burning man festival the last week of aug.---then finally out to cornwall for a couple of weeks rehearsal with Tori--everything got pushed back a month. I guess she didn't want to put her record out anywhere near the anniversary of sept 11th--bye for now this dovetails nicely with rumors on the atforumz tori forum that the tour will start in early november. woj ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 06 Aug 2002 17:17:57 -0400 From: mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: Re: sampler Hi ya Lavenderspark & EWF ~ In it's current form the 6 track promo sampler won't be sold in stores. The promo's are produced specifically for the media, typically radio, to get the music played on air & garner interest in the album. A commercial single will hopefully be released. What tracks it will contain is unknown as of today. In the past she has put b-sides on the singles, frequently two per single. So we can still hold out for Snow Cherries from France or any of the many unreleased tracks. Thus, the appeal for snagging singles - MORE music! :::CHEERS::: As for owning a legit SW 6 track promo sampler, like all Tori promos so far, you will be able to grab one on eBay in the future. They are just now being received by *some* media. More will follow during the next month. Many find their way to eBay. So far one has completed auction on eBay. It went for a whopping $450.00. As I write this one is on now with 3+ days to go. As a collector you may ask why I'm telling you all this. After all, don't we usually keep quiet about these things, grabbing the goodies for ourselves? Yeah, true, we typically do, it's smart business to quietly fly low. However, I speak now because I won't be bidding on this promo anytime soon. Why in the world would I pay a rediculous price when it will be available for so much less if I wait a bit? So, if any of you want to join the fevered bidding war run to eBay now so the collectors group can laugh at your ass as you pay way way too much. We'd like to thank you in advance for the giggles. Secondly, some *EVIL* people have taken it upon themselves to take the readily available mp3's of the Scarlet's Walk promo sampler, burn them to cdr to toss on eBay for their own greed. Anyone attempting to do this please note: We are always watching & We will shut you down. Tori should be respected. As I'm sure everyone here agrees. Facilis est descensus averno! Saying that there will be a single released doesn't mean that there will be a commercial release of the single. In music business terms, 'releasing a single' only refers to sending it to radio. As of this time, there is no word on whether there will be a commercial single. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Aug 2002 18:00:02 -0400 From: "Bryana" Subject: Hi! Gee, I thought the tour was originally expected to begin in September. Especially combined with Matt's comment about 9/11, I don't see anything there to conclude that the tour being pushed back one month means anything later than sometime in October. Have I missed something? If I hear anything special I'll pass it along--so long as it seems doing so won't incur the wrath of God. If the tour were to have to break for Christmas during the U.S. tour before finishing it and *then* going to Europe early next year as planned *after* finishing the U.S. tour, that would cost them a hell of a lot of money for multiple reasons. I have to believe they would want to avoid that if at all possible, and the basic U.S. tour would need to be begun darned early in November to be done by a week before Christmas, which is what I have to think is their cutoff date. Thanksgiving alone is enough of a complication and expense. I don't think it adds up.
