Megan Harris >>> Have you heard of Thea Gilmore? I hate pigeonholing but the press here have called her "an English answer to ani difranco", which isn't far off the mark, though she's a bit lusher at times, maybe a more political+gutsy Kirsty MacColl would be a better way of describing. You can hear a few clips at http://www.theagilmore.com/albums.html, "See If They Applaud" is my favourite of those available Hope you find some sustenance out there - roll on September 24th ("Provisionally")! http://www.thedent.com/newalbum02.html Pete xxxx ~~~~ I felt centuries of a life together. I felt like an eternal soul when we touched. Some of my favorite pieces of his, are "Northern Sky", "Pink Moon" and "Hazey Jane I". If you like really incredibly melodic acoustic guitar and heartbreaking vocals that are like warm honey for the soul, this is it. I suggest downloading a few songs by them. If you need more info (like album names and so on) just let me know. :) Sincerely, Cyndi S. There's also a pretty good underground band called "Coal" that's fronted by a woman. The most known song they've come out with is "Stay" from the Chasing Amy soundtrack. :) ~~*Danielle*~ - --- "Megan Harris" wrote: > >I'm going through a musical drought...
