Previously I had a tape, but I just hate tape royality and I bought the CD. Actually I'm little annoyed cause of this bfp re-release.... I'm sure you know that they add to this CD remix of pro widow (wich is so.... grrr.... this thing COMPLETELY doesn't fit the album), and they put talula tornado mix instead of original.. (that's OK).., but it's not really so annoying.... the most fucked up thing is that they (record label) kicked out Voodoo..... How could they do that?! How could they just fuck up the best album in the world and put some 8 minutes long remix and kick out awesome Voodoo that fits to this album perfectly.... I knew that re-release of BFP includes pro-widow remix, but I didn't know that they threw out voodoo instead..... So that's why I'm just annoyed.... BAD BAD Atlantic!!! Maybe something in the Little > Earthquake era? http://gaffa.org/wow/k234.jpg I believe this is the long-ago infamous image used by misguided Kate Bush zealots as "evidence" that Tori is just a Kate Bush wannabe/rip-off. Cindy Palmano who did the artwork for the Little Earthquakes album has been quoted in the now-defunct RDT fanzine as saying she was unfamiliar with this image; but beyond that, I think her LE cover evokes Alice in Wonderland in a far more directly referential manner, especially with its mushrooms on the back. With the last name of Teapot, Jennifer, I think you can see what I mean. ;-) Any Kate people here want to have a go at this? Where exactly is the Kate-in-the-box image from? I'm too tired to look it up. Haven't seen this come up for a long time. Oddly, I mentioned it to a friend last night on the telephone. Weird. I personally think that remixes are what singles are for.. singles and EP's anyway.. if we wanna hear a remix.. we should buy the single.. the reason why I say this is cuz.. I think EVERY toriphile needs a chance to get to hear the ORIGINAL version of everything on the album. I think it's wronnnnnnng of Atlantic to have replaced certain songs with bloody remixes. Remixes on singles don't bother me--but remixes replacing the original on the *ALBUM* do. I only believe in this very firmly because.. well.. the album should be for the original work.. and, as I just said, the SINGLES should be for the remixes and b-sides!! so.. all the remixes that replaced the originals on BFP.. I think.. gotta go. :P Sincerely, Cyndi S. The decision to replace the original Talula with the tornado mix wasn't Atlantic's decision. It was Tori's. She liked the tornado mix so much that she wanted it to be on the album release. The original pressing of BfP has the original 'Talula', but all subsequent pressings of it have the tornado mix. {And before anyone asks -- if you have a BfP with the original 'Talula', no, it's not rare. There were, if my memory serves, 800,000 of these made in the US. Add to that the number pressed in Europe and Australia, and you have a non-rarity on your hands. It's worth about the same as any other used CD.} That said, the decision to add the PW remix to and remove IsSoHV from the UK/Euro pressings of BfP was a record company decision. (This change didn't affect US pressings.) Tori was enjoying reasonable club popularity with some of the remixes, so EastWest made these changes to capitalise on it. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 13:29:10 EDT From: Nelsewhere@aol.com Subject: hey guys-looking for tori help-i need to know true song meanings im doing a paper on tori for my honors english class and it needs to be super since my teacher is all "oh its going to be far too sexual" and so i dont care what the song or meaning-but i definately do need to make it good so i need all the meanings i can get-tori official ones, not fan or personal meanings. anyone know of any other sites with tori quote meanings other than hereinmyhead.com? thanks! kadien ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 18:25:02 +0100 From: "WilliamWilson" Subject: Re: bfp The first version of BFP I got had the remix of PW, which I was warned spoilt the flow of the album, & my adviser (Mike)was 100% correct.
