I love Rattlesnakes as well. She looks gorgeous with that blonde hair. I also like Strange Little Girl. I've adored that picture since it came out. I think the short, dark hair really accents her face. She's so bootiful. :) I also like New Age, because I adore the glasses. The Heart of Gold girl that looks like Little Orphan Annie cracks my shit up. I'm so excited about this album and the fact that I get to see Tori 4 days after my birthday. Too bad I don't live in Austin or I could see her on my b-day. love and can't have everything. freakgirl __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help? (Oct. 8 they say.) The two other tracks are "After All" (David Bowie) & "Only Women Bleed" (Alice Cooper). I am excited to hear the Cooper track. Am I correct, has no one heard it yet? If you have let me know plez :-) As for what I'd like to hear Tori cover - And don't hate me - it's "For Your Babies" by Simply Red. She could knock that song into a whole new galaxy. If you haven't heard it, its an awesome song about being a parent. You just wanna go grab your kids and hug 'em. (OK, OK, I got a thang for the way Mick Hucknall purrrrrrs on "Thrill Me" too.) Now that I've completely lost you all & am now the biggest nerd on PT, I'll redeem myself with my other 2 wishes - "Rain Song" by Led Zep & "Wild Horses" by the Stones. Come to think of it, the Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want" would be great for Tori too. I'd also be thrilled to hear her do "No Ordinary Love" by Sade, but that has personal reasons behind it. Oh, and there's this Cradle of Filth song too... just kidding!!! As for my 3 top choices for her *girls* - 1. Rattlesnakes - I agree, she just glows as a platinum blonde. (Did I mention I'm a blonde? 100% natural :-) 2. Enjoy the Silence - Very exotic headdress. It's Sexy Tori! 3. I Don't Like Mondays - Officer Tori in uniform. Cool hat, Tori's hair. Damn, I'm all about hair huh!?! Never realized that before. Kinda Freaky Toodles ~ MysT *Micah it's on its way. **A couple of us figured it out and we're about to go friggen broke collecting all the various SLG CD's with the various covers from the various countries worldwide. What is it, 14 in all now? Atlantic/ew is milking this puppy for all its worth. Tour promoting, all the CD's... More fuel to the final album fire I believe. $$$ :::KA CHING!::: $$$ *** In a message dated 9/16/01 10:22:08 PM Pacific Daylight Time, owner-precious-things-digest@smoe.org writes: << Date: Sun, 16 Sep 2001 21:29:05 -0500 From: Kris Subject: Re: SLG characters Kelly Stitzel wrote: > Since most of us have seen all the characters from Strange Little Girls (and > if you haven't yet you should go to The Dent and check them out), I just > thought I'd ask which one is your favorite. My absolute favorite is I'm Not in Love, followed by Enjoy the Silence, and then Raining Blood. I'm all about the gothy Tori. ;-) On a similar note, what does everyone hope that Tori releases as b-sides? It's highly unlikely, but I hope she covers (and dresses up as the girl for the cover art too!) Byzantine by Lycia. It4s been a while since my last post on the list, (remember me Myst?), but I had been doing mid term exams in the last 4 months, but I haven4t missed a bit of all the SLG info. As for my Choice I would pick up the Strange Litle Girl photo and Heart of gold, I think that Bonnie & Clyde497 would be quite sarcastic and great, but definitly my third choice is I don4t like mondays. TOOOOOOOOOO BAAAAAADDDDDD for me, Warner/Atlantic/Eastwest, ARE NOT realising SLG in Argentina :( and I will have it to get it as an import and I am not even sure if they are going to import it ! Anyway it4s not a reason not to enjoy the SLG excitement, is Tori at her greatest! Now my questions: 1-I got Tori4s albums on cd from LE to Venus, I was wondering is it worth to buy UTP, BFP, or LE and FTCGH on VINYL for reasons of difference in sound quality ccompare to cd? (I have heard that on vinyl the Bvsendorfer sounds more prominent as well as the harpsichord), IF anyone have this albums on both formats, could you mail me and tell me if it4s any difference? ALso, are the limited editions of UTP (the pink one) and BFP (the green one and the transparent) nice enough to buy them as a collectors item ? (I don4t have a record player, but if they are nice enough I will start my search to get them). 2-Also, Has Tori stopped playing the harpsichord, will she ever play it ever again ? 3- Anyone can explain me the story behind MR. PUPPETHEAD and DANFREAKA, ! 4- I need some advice on the cds I got and I need your comments on what I owned, if you are interested in helping me, send me a private mail. Well, Good Luck and more Faerie dust. I consider myself lucky as far as getting good presale tickets for the Houston show. I got Section 105, Row J. Which is on the floor in the center where the risers begin. Your seats seem really close to the stage looking at the setup. But I didn't want anything that wasn't where the risers begin because I'm short and I can't see over everyones heads :) I'm not sure how the seating is going to work for this show. Usually the whole floor is general admission. Do you know if the part of the floor where you are at cost more than other sections on the floor? If that is the case they may seat you exactly where your ticket states. However, I've been to the Aerial many times and they've never done that. But who knows. I hope they do seat everyone according to their ticket assignment. That way we all know where we are sitting at already and don't have to worry about getting there early or late in order to get a good seat. Anyhow I'm ecstatic about going to this show! An extra plus is that it falls on Halloween! How cool is that?!! AND it's at my favourite venue here in Houston..... My basic question is, if I have one of those once-only-and-then-throw-away polaroid cameras, and take the whole roll before I go into the show, will security let me keep the camera, seeing as it is unable to take any more pictures? I don't really want to walk back to the car to put my camera away, but I'm a novice, so any reccomendations and ideas and stuff is totally wanted. I could've sworn that Poland is a communist country or one of the several countries in Europe with a dictatorial government. But then again, concerts have been performed in China, even if it was only once by a certain person. If Poland is that kind of country, I'm sure she'll be banned less than an hour after the concert is over. There are tons of songs she could cover of theirs, but "Love You to Death" definitely has my vote.
