I'm getting a little scared. I haven't seen the Paramount Theater concert for 11/9 on Tickemaster's list now for several weeks. It's also not listed at the Paramount's home page. It's still listed on The Dent's concert list, but there's no information about it, unlike other venues. Has the Seattle concert been cancelled? I hope not, becase I don't want to have to try and make it down to California...which I WILL do if I have to!! Tony ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 07:56:25 EDT From: Mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: Tour in light of the tragedy ~ Hi ya EWF ~ I have da news on the Tori gigs. (Yippee meeee!) It seems none of them are being postponed/cancelled. (With the exception of this weekends Caaawfeee Tawk in NY. UK radio event not counting because it was previously recorded.) The discussion happened & the decision was made to go ahead as planned. The reasoning to cancel this weekends event was because America is in a state of mourning and it was not appropriate to go ahead - NOT because of the building being unstable. It is nearly 5 miles from the WTC. I'm told the shows themselves will go on as scheduled because we cannot let the terrorist bastards diminish our American way of life by their BS. TicketBastard is in the process of cancelling/postponing many events - mostly sporting events. As of today - 9/15/01 - Tori is NOT on the list to be postponed/cancelled. With the exception of the ticket sales in Denver, Phoenix & Indianapolis, all the other tix sales have gone on as scheduled this week. Lets all cross our collective fingers this stays so. Lastly, I'd like to take a sec to congratulate woj & mike on PT & Our Fab Dent's Mike for handling the tragedy info so responsibly. I think you guys are under appreciated for your work. I, for one, thank you. (OK, I'm done. You guys can stop smiling now.) Peace & Pixie-dust Toodles ~ MysT *Coca~Cola & chocolate make MysT hyper. TicketMaster ~ Hi ya AGAIN EWF ~ What a week! :::deep breath::: Anyone else feel absolutely horrible for concentrating on getting Tori tix in the wake of this monumental tragedy? Part of me thinks: "OMG MysT - You are soooo selfish & uncaring!!! The country you love has just been hit with the most evil act of terrorism ever! Thousands of lives have been lost and YOU are thinking about concert tickets!?!" And another part of me says: "MysT, life goes on. This is tix week for you. Snooze & lose OR move on with life." Anyone relate? Anyhoo -- God Bless America & my fiance, Jim. This is his first Tori ticket buying experience and man it was trial by fire for him. Thank you hunny :-) Small venues, less tickets, you could feel the pushing & shoving even over the Internet. OK, so at least for me the verdict is in - the TicketBastard presale idea was a bust. Somehow word leaked to brokers. There was a lot more than Toriphiles getting tix during OUR TIME. (Evidence - eBay.) The system sucked - started late, didn't register the correct password for some and gave me a bleedin' headache with not recognizing My Account info. I had to re-register 3 times in one day! Lordy knows the 5 minutes they give ya to type in your info once you find tix you like is not enough. You WILL get timed out if you are not pre-registered. I was stressed to the max. As were many others. So, How did I do? Not bad considering. 4th row for one show, 15th for another. At first I was mad as hell. Yes, MysT pouted :-/ I have been spoiled in the past. This tour is a whole new ball game. I am not done yet though - its 5 am as I write this. Still LA's public sale this morning & then Phoenix next week. As I have told Jim, In light of the smaller shows plus our wedding in less than a month (VERY EXCITING!) - As long as I get to go to one show the rest will be gravy. If I get nothing else I'll be happy with what I have. (Honest, not fibbing :-) Well, I better get my butt to bed. I'm dealing with TM in 4 hours - YUK! Good luck to everyone still buying tix Toodles ~ MysT *US SLG comes out in 4 days :-) **STILL no single release! Did anyone have markedly good luck buying from the Houston presale? I had my boyfriend in Canada help me (holding while I looked and vice versa) and we ended up with floor seats (Section 103 Row J), but they're a good ways off to the side.. I'm going to try for centre from this morning, but I wanted to know how everyone else did... And if you're looking for tickets there's a possibility I may have 3 extra! Good luck.... FRONT ROW, CENTER EVEN: Section 2, Row A, seat 12 !!!!!!!!!! This is the best thing ever, as things like this never happen to me! As for the other shows, I have 5 th row center for Charlotte, like 8th row, orchestra rightside to Atlanta, and 3rd row leftside in Nashville.... All in all, not a bad bunch... however, I will point out, I only bought one ticket to each of the shows... even though it would have been nice to go with a friend, it was more important that I get good seats... besides, while I'm there, I am going to be completely fixated on Tori, so who is seating next to me, whether friend or stranger is completely irrelevant. In anycase, don't hate me, I just wanted to share the good news!!! Also, I might add, other than than New Orleans show, which were the first ticketmaster offered tot me.... for the other shows, I had to keep retrying for better seats about 5-10 times.... Good Luck to those who still need to get tickets. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 14:01:12 EDT From: Tasha325@aol.com Subject: Re: correction (Dallas show) i also had good luck with the presale, once we all got through after all those hours. 3rd row (C) floor. tasha ~~and i fear my fear is greater than my faith, but i walk the missionary way.~ tori amos ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 18:26:08 EDT From: Mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: LA tix a NO GO today :-( Hi ya EWF ~ :::yawn::: OK, so I rose at the ungodly hour of 9 am for NADA! TicketBastard is NOT selling the general public sale LA shows today. They have no idea when... yada, yada, yada... Dent is not updated as of 3 PM. Mike must still be taking time off. HEY! Even God needs a rest sometime :-) If anyone hears of the LA tix going on sale let me know ASAP. TM says it could be any time. Could be a 2 day warning OR they could just open to sell without warning. I've never seen that happen. (Notwithstanding the adding of 2nd shows, 3rd shows, etc., due to vigorous response, like what happened on Thursday with the 3rd LA show.) So, that's what up in LA Toodles ~ MysT *I am LA, San Diego, Phoenix & Houston show info hungry. Share plez :-) **3 posts from lil 'ol me in 1 PT is enough MysT 4 anyone. I only spoke with her online and I think I might have met her at a meet and greet, but my heart goes out to her friends and family, and of course our fellow EWF that were friends with her. Does anyone know her favorite tori songs or which shows she's been to, etc. ? Maybe Tori will play soemthing for her, one of us must tell Tori.. With Heavy Heart. I think mine is the Rattlesnakes character. I just think Tori looks radiant in that picture. Following at a close second is the I Don't Like Mondays character. Kevyn Aucoin practically has another book with this album because of all the amazing transformations Tori goes through. Of course, I'm sure he didn't have to work too hard since Tori is so beautiful to begin with (her lips alone are a makeup artist's dream). Hope everyone's doing well, Kelly :) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Sep 2001 21:29:05 -0500 From: Kris Subject: Re: SLG characters Kelly Stitzel wrote: > Since most of us have seen all the characters from Strange Little Girls (and > if you haven't yet you should go to The Dent and check them out), I just > thought I'd ask which one is your favorite. My absolute favorite is I'm Not in Love, followed by Enjoy the Silence, and then Raining Blood. I'm all about the gothy Tori. ;-) On a similar note, what does everyone hope that Tori releases as b-sides? It's highly unlikely, but I hope she covers (and dresses up as the girl for the cover art too!) Byzantine by Lycia.
