Hi EWF-- I just wanted to know if anyone knew why San Francisco seems to have been dropped from the tour lineup. For a while there, the only news we had was "...and the tour will end in SF". Has the Oakland date replaced it? I wonder... Leyna ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Aug 2001 12:08:17 EDT From: UnderH20thing@aol.com Subject: Re: Bosendorfer Piano Meg... They are superior to all others...as mentioned before, Tori likes the way that they are built. Trees are grown for hundreds of years for the sole purpose of making the pianos, and in the shop where they are created, the walls are covered with pin-up girls. The pianos are modeled after the curves on these playboy mommies. word. dink ;)~ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Aug 2001 13:09:08 EDT From: Mermann658@aol.com Subject: Re: Bosendorfer Piano I remembered the *Bosey* having extra lower keys and found some extra info for ya'll. You know how Tori loves those extra low notes (especially on the live piano versions of Sugar) and the info below also mentions more resonance having the extra strings. Enjoy, Mermann658 http://members.aol.com/gud4astorm/index.html The Biggest Thickest Ever Sky >>The "average" piano has 88 keys, of these, 36 are black keys commonly known as "sharps". There are also some pianos made with 85 keys and one with more than 88! (The Bosendorfer 9'6" concert grand has 97, but not much music is written for these extra keys. The extra keys are mainly there because of the additional resonance produced by the extra strings and large soundboard). Leyna, I wonder that too..... In ICE magazine the article said that she will conclude the tour on the 21st. Well as we all know the last dated listed is the 20th in San Diego. So maybe she is planning on going back up to San Francisco.....but it just seems silly for her to go all the way back. I wonder too..... ...till next time see you in the dreamtime... OK, so I see, my eyes did not deceive - it does say SATIN Worship. Well... hell... what the F does that mean? SATIN is a fabric you make dresses and sheets out of. Is it supposed to be a mental link to satin sheet worship... Sheets which adorn a bed... A bed is frequently used for sex... SATIN sheets are the sexiest type... Sexy sheets lead to wild sex... Tori is telling everyone to go have wild sex on SATIN sheets! Shoot its like a freaky 6 Degrees of Tori Amos thang! I like SATAN Worship better anyway. Doubt Tori's parents would agree. There's a Tori article in the October 2001 issue of Spin magazine, with Kurt Cobain on the cover. The article is entitled "Don't Mess with Mother Nature", and has the subheading: "Taking shots at male violence, the gun lobby, and Eminem, Tori Amos has made an unlikely covers record -- a cross between _Sybil_ and _Quadrophenia. She's also made a beautiful child. A house call with rock's avenging babymama." Thankfully, someone else has already typed up the article and scanned in the pictures, and you can see them on The Dent at: http://www.thedent.com/spin1001.html In general, subscribers to _Spin_ get it a couple of weeks before it hits the news stands, so if you go to your favourite local news stand and find the last issue of _Spin_ (with Eminem on the cover), wait a little bit. Enjoy. :) /nm ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Aug 2001 21:39:19 EDT From: MTSkantz@aol.com Subject: Extra WPB Ticket If you didn't manage to get a ticket for the West Palm Beach show, or have really lousy seats or whatever, I ended up with an extra one (friend who couldn't go). It's in the Grand Tier section, row D, seat 111, which is just to the right of center (I think three seats to the right, to be exact) and in the first section behind the orchestra seats. I haven't been to the Kravis center since I was 7, so unfortunately I can't say what the view is like from there, but I can't imagine it's bad at all. You can see the seating chart at: http://www.kravis.org/facility/venues/seating/dreyfoos.html If you're interested, it's $53 (which is exactly what I paid Ticketmaster) and please email me privately as soon as possible.
