[Liquid Pie Subject: SLG Promo Hi again, As a collector, I've noticed the huge amounts of money being bid on the "SLG" promo(s) on eBay ... ($100+). Also as a collector I'd like to point out to those that may be tempted that, given the huge numbers promised for the RAINN bashes and the ones that have been sent out already, these will be one of the commonest promos out there ! Whatever you pay now, they'll be $20 or less in six month's time - be careful :-) RTA _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Aug 2001 19:37:34 -0400 From: "Lynne Toussaint and Christina Sepp" Subject: Re: Strange Little Girls & The Confused EWF ~ I know I probably missed this, but is there a place where I can download tori's version of this song? With a solo concert, Tori's mood and the atmosphere of that venue and that audience can have quite an effect on the feel of the music, since she's able to match or challenge the energy of the room, able to move outside of the usual arrangement of a song, able to wander and reach and play and such .... It isn't just the difference between one version of a song and another - also there seem to be threads of similar mood tying the whole concert together, whereas with some live band recordings, patching together a 'God' from one concert and a 'Sugar' from another wouldn't effect the experience (for me). For those of you who have seen Tori and band live a few times, were there nights that were distinct in mood the way solo concerts can be? Perhaps it is easier to pick this up when actually there at the concert :) Has she ever used band members who can, ahem, 'jam' - read one another and experiment with the arrangements live? With enough bootlegs to choose from, a fun compilation of a representative good recording of every band version could be made (perhaps more than one version for some songs, I think there are different band versions of CALS for eg). This is kinda off topic, but please, bear with me. I've been receiving tons of spam since I joined this mailing list, enough to make me want to unsubscribe and change my email. Blocking the senders of spam is not enough. My question is, is anyone else receiving an inordinate amount of spam lately? I can ignore the 'do you want a mortgage' and 'good life insurance' spams, but the porn ones are so ******* annoying and disgusting. I won't say what the subject lines usually are, they're really inappropriate, but the sender is always someone from yahoo.com and the person's name is always female. I never open them, so I don't know what they say. If anyone else is having this happen to them, please tell me, so I can narrow down where my spam is coming from.
