But, I'm not a great piano player.. like I said before, I just kind of pound out her songs. If I want to learn her songs, it takes every day, all day (and I mean all day!), for at least a month to get it down.. The reason it's easier to sing along to some songs (like Yes, Anastasia) is because it's the piano part is an easy rythym to play.. there's no real off beats or anything.. but twinkle.. jeez, twinkle is easy as hell to play on the piano and easy as hell to sing but it's the hardest song to play and sing at the same time that i've ever done. it's kind of embarrassing to say, though, because when i started twinkle, it sounded sooo easy; i thought i'd have it in less than a week! oh well, shows how much i know! dammit tori and your weird ass hard ass songs! =) Stuff, micah b. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 29 Apr 2001 03:36:15 EDT From: Mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: Re: Under the Pink promo digipak Hi ya EWF ~ I have contacted Armani Boy privately to give him this collectors opinion. I think she, much like myself, doesn't exactly think it's the greatest thing in the world. The ugly thing that porn has turned into, that is. Years and years ago, I think it was much sexier. I think people look so much sexier with at least SOME clothes on to leave SOMETHING to the imagination. > the article itself > specifies the element of violence in porn, and how that it the current > trend. It comes as no surprise to me. I mean, someone has to be decapitated nowadays for anyone to even get slightly aroused. Nothing excites people anymore. The prevalance of so-called "erotic" (yeah RIGHT) rape porn illustrates this quite clearly. > i guess im wondering if that brand of porn constitutes > scrutinizing ALL porn, and wondering if tori makes any distinctions > along that line in her comment. Not necessarily. Something along the lines of a Bettie Page pin-up is a *hell* of a lot classier and sexier than some of the cheeseball porn with chicks with blond, permed, 80s teased hair and boobs bigger than my head that's so common today. This article right here articulates my feelings far better than I ever could. http://anna.twdzine.com/bettie.html > what is your assessment of the > article? It's certainly accurate, that's for sure. > of porn? Porn these days has just turned into a tool of the patriarchy to keep women down. It seems a woman can't get ahead these days without taking it up the ass on film or showing off her (often fake) tatas on the cover of a magazine. The closest thing that comes to porn that I personally enjoy is slash fan fiction...and even then I'm very selective concerning what I like and don't like. > it will be interesting to see how this has influenced the new CD. Indeed yes. This should also spark some fascinating conversation on the list as well! Kris ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V6 #76 ************************************
