It wasn't official and is obscure......why?? i seriously don't understand why some of these albums are so hard to obtain and limited in #'s. Im wondering if this is the record company's trick to market the album as a rarity to earn more value and cash for it.... - -AJ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2001 02:20:46 EST From: JNe9027355@aol.com Subject: Re: precious-things-digest V6 #36 In a message dated 2/26/2001 10:36:40 PM Pacific Standard Time, owner-precious-things-digest@smoe.org writes: << ~~Meg, who'd be willing to make a copy of End Sessions for anybody who doesn't have it ------------------------------ >> for free or? :) - -AJ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Feb 2001 19:29:08 -0600 From: jamison barber Subject: Tori and Trent When all the talk about the history of Tori and Trent came up I went looking through some of my old stuff and found a song where she starts singing a somber song that I can't make out-not a good copy-but then she breaks in to Hurt and changes some of the wording: "I hurt myself today to see if I could feel. I hurt myself You said to try and make him feel. I hurt myself again to see if he would see me I hurt myself again I know we never could see me." Then she sings Springtime. I have heard the first part but can't place it but the rest of Hurt is pretty clear. Just thought I would throw it out there. You might want to check out the archives at the precious things website, they'll have what you're looking for. Can't help you with that one, but... > and what exactly is End Sessions? End Sessions was a show done after Tori's Seattle 98 concert at the local radio station, KNDD The End. They have what they called the "End Sessions" and intimate concert series they do whenever artists are in town for a show. They give away something like 50 tickets to the show, and that's about it.. then they air the show and they've currently got out 2 CDs of compilations from these shows. The first CD they put out had "Playboy Mommy" from Tori's session. The whole session included the following setlist: Sister janet Leather Purple People Playboy Mommy Honey There was a short story between each song, about it's origin. Very neat show. I recorded it to tape from the radio when it was first aired, and I've since had it put on CD and I've made copies for a few people here and there. Maybe I should set up some kind of tree to distribute it? I've had many requests for the show. If anybody has an idea to help me organize a tree, that would be great.. especially if more people are interested. The CD I have has b-side and live stuff filler, but could be replaced with other b-sides or whatever, as the show isn't quite the length of a CD. :) Anywhoo, I think you may be able to find out more about the end sessions and other artists who've done them at their website... www.kndd.com or www.1077theend.com (I'm not sure which is working at the moment) Hope that helps! :) ~~Meg, who also made some cheesy artwork for the End Sessions CD ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2001 00:41:03 -0500 (EST) From: Richard Handal Subject: Re: marianne In response to my long post about the real girl Maryanne, AJ asked: > Wow. What were the drugs? did she have any motive to kill herself that > was known to others? I've discussed this at the most detailed level I'm going to. Some people think I should never talk about this stuff publicly at all. They think it's not respectful. Frankly, I'm completely blown away that Tori released that song with the real name of the actual girl in question, even if for some reason she did change the spelling of her name. But Tori did release the song, and she's spoken about the girl Maryanne in numerous interviews as well as from the stage at many shows. Folks who feel I've invaded someone's privacy by saying the things I've said never seem to complain about Tori having done the same thing. That said, I don't see any purpose in becoming more graphic, and it would feel unseemly to me to do so, kinda like when people want to get into a bunch of details of someone's assault for what appears to be no reason other than pure voyeurism.
