I got the TVAB songbook a couple weeks ago and am mostly happy with it. Glory of the 80's is the only song that I've noticed sounding off; the transcriptions of Lust and Bliss are divine. I wish they'd retranscribed songs from the live album; for the old songs, they just used the preexisting ones, including the inadequate Cornflake Girl. One problem with the book: (this could just be mine, let me know if it is!) Cooling was a big reason I got the book, but in my book, the first page of Cooling is the first page of 1000 Oceans. (However, 1000 Oceans is complete and correct.) I was just warning you and confirming that this is a universal thing. The rest of Cooling is very good though. All in all, I recommend the book highly. Be well! Anyways, I read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman a few months ago, and I was just listening to Playboy Mommy. I'm thinking that the line "but when you tell em my name and you want to cross that Bridge all on your own little girl they'll do you no harm cause they know Your playboy mommy" is a reference to that story ... the part where Anaesthesia leads Richard across the bridge? "They'll do you no harm". 'They' being, I guess, the dark spirit or whatever lives on there (it was a few months ago! ) that'll do the girl no harm when she has to cross. Anyways, just thoughts . . . aimee ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Dec 1999 00:12:44 EST From: "Ms. Shaigirl" Subject: Private Talks... I have a brand new copy of "Private Talks: An Interview With Tori Amos". This is an import from Germany, I do believe... an interview cd (no music). I haven't listened to it, so I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I read somewhere that it's an interview with Kevin & Bean from the BFP era. It's one of those shaped picture discs with a clear case and back insert, stating "limited edition and numbered to 10,000 copies". This disc is no. 1165. My question is... is there anybody out there with CD-R capabilities that would be wanting to do up a trade for this? I'm really interested in a copy of Indianapolis'99. (The copy I had was recently destroyed when I was in my car accident.) If anyone is interested, please respond privately! Thanks!
