I read somewhere, I think on the Tori Amos Lyrics Database, that the song was taken from an English phrase. People who are having trouble generally would say that despite their problems they'd say, still Pretty Good Year, or something to that effect, meaning just because there's one minor problem, that doesn't mean their whole life is sour. So, to get to the death thing, the eternal footman, who, in Tori's song bought himself a bike to race, maybe she's saying that he has nothing to do: no one's died lately. Pretty Good Year. He's taking up a hobby. ??? Just a thought. :>) - - Kim "...an angel's face is tricky to wear constantly..." ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V4 #372 *************************************
