How long is the average song (say 4 mins) supposed to take to download? Last time I tried to download a song off the net it said 'Time remaining 1 hour' or something like that, which seems a bit odd to me. Is that the same for everyone? My modem is V90 if that has anything to do with it. Could someone help? The soundtrack actually came out last week and the setlist is as follows: 1. Anywhere But Here - K.D. Lang 2. Walking - Pocket Size 3. Scream & Shout - 21st Century Girls 4. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could please let me know of an oline vendor that's still selling the UK 2CD set for Glory Of The 80s, for a reasonable price. I've already tried eBay but people on there just go nuts and I've seen the damn thing going for more than say... the UK Pretty Good Year 2CD set that came out 5 years ago. I'm looking for a reliable place that takes credit cards and that has it for its regular price, like $20 or something. I asked the people at ESPRIT and the told me that in case they got copies of the recalled singles they would sell them higher. Grrr... this collectability factor kinda sucks. Hi Guys, I note that no-one has mentioned the fact that for the first time now in ?5? albums, Tori's new UK single (Glory Of The 80s for those of you who have been asleep!) failed to breach the Top 40 singles chart. This was, of course most probably due to the fact that half of the singles were withdrawn by East/West on Tuesday after it's release on Monday. One part, is, however, still on the shelves (the non-mispressed disc) and still appears to be widely available. It'll be interesting to see what East/West say about the whole thing (if anything, of course) and whether they decide to make it up to us by releasing another single from the album. I would speculate that in the UK perhaps "Concertina" might be a fair choice of single, especially as she played it on (I think) every UK appearance she made apart from This Morning [Radio 2, Jools, Royal Festival Hall all had "Concertina" - but of course they all also had "Suede"] although there's always the possibility of Bliss and/or 1,000 Oceans. Concertina has Radio 2 stamped all over it, though, as, I guess does 1,000 Oceans. For some reason I can imagine Chris Moyles making 1,000 Oceans his record of the week (he made Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" record of the week despite protest from the powers that be at Radio 1) but of course this all remains to be seen. But knowing East/West they'll .... no I won't rant, I'll just leave it to history (and East/West) to prove me right... [Mike wanders off muttering "I'll wager that they don't screw up the new Corrs release ..."] Cheers Mike ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Nov 1999 22:55:53 EST From: XXXPandora@aol.com Subject: Re: the EWF cookbook Was the cookbook ever given to Tori? Unfortunately, I was not able to get to a computer for a couple of weeks and I got so many messages that all of the votes that I got were deleted. I am truly sorry to everyone one who gave me votes but I would also like to thank them for participating. Maybe I will try to do one again (when I have a computer with the internet). Once again I would like to say thanks and sorry to those who sent me votes. I hope no one is mad.
