Apparently the 75 VIP tickets he was given to distribute were not really VIP at all, and were instead more like VIP standby. As it was explained to the 25-30 fans who didn't get into the taping (including woj and I), when people from Atlantic showed up with more guests we got bumped. I suppose that this should really have come as no surprise, as fans are the lowest form of life in the major record label food chain. Let me stress that I don't blame Mike at all for this. I'm sure he wasn't told that this would be the case and therefore couldn't tell everyone when he offered the tickets. If Atlantic had simply spelled things out up front I think some of us might have chosen not to take time off from our jobs or school and in some cases travel long distances to NYC (for me it was a three hour trip in) if we weren't sure of getting into the actual taping. I hope those who did get in, including both the 45-50 people who got in from Mike's list and the usual clique of Tori fans who managed to make their own special arrangements, had fun at the taping and that it was a good show so that the experience was a good one for at least some of Tori's fans.
