It is an important agent in the development of the character of Carlos Castaneda's first book: 'Don Juan:A Yaqui Way of Knowledge'. It is used to transform the 'student' into another being; and to alter their perspective. Keep in mind the use of Ayahuasca by Tori in her sojourn in South America. Psychedelics can enhance perception of reality but must not be treated disrespectfully. From what I have read, the shaman would use a very specific amount which would put the victim into a deep comatose sleep. The poison in the plant would slow down the body processes to the point where life was virtually undetectable. The shaman would then 'magically resurrect' the person when the antidote was given. The long term effect of this procedure was that the victim basically turned into a zombie - very basic life function only - and would end up as a slave to the shaman, thus keeping his power over the people through fear of becoming a zombie. I hope I am correct and this makes sense! - -sheina _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. When I downloaded the Bliss mp3 i was so unbelieveably excited and I put all of my energy and excitement into that one song. It was really nice just to have that song to concentrate on. If only all songs were released like that. So we could spend the deserved time on them and not get overwhelmed with 10 or 11 new songs. I was thinking about a Bliss video today so I decided to make my own ideas up......I'm putting a lot of religion into this I don't know why. And it's also a lot about a daughter escaping her father. Don't assume that I'm in anyway saying Tori's father is a tyrant or anything. This isn't nessecerily Tori and Her dad, it is her character's father though. The setting is a very gothic cathedral like church, old and sort of stoneish. It's in a very rural area. The parts with the little girl are black and white and the parts with modern day Tori are color. The end sequence is in color. A girl walks into a church. She is holding the hand of her father. You notice she's talking to someone beside her who's invisible. She sort of waves goodbye to him They walk inside. Her father prays she frowns but bows her head. Next she's leaving and looking up into the sky. She sort of lifts her head and smiles. (as the chorus comes in) Lightning strikes, he picks her up really fast and they jump in a car. It speeds away and the little girl notices someone you see them nearly hit a boy who's standing in the rain. The little girl screams (So maybe with the....)Then it's present day Tori in a dark room singing as a bit of lightning flashes. (end chorus) THe setting changes as she is now setting in a pew during a preaching service. She stares at various forms or religous imagery. She holds a cross that is on her knecklace clutches it tightly and stares at it while sitting in preaching (What it means to be...) She looks up at her father who is preaching fanatically, like screaming loudly. She frowns and sort of looks very uncomfortable and confused. You notice an empty space between she and another person stting close by. There is a bible sitting up in this place however. It stands vertically. She picks up the bible, stand ups, exits the pew into the aisle and throws it on the ground. (Part of you line) (chorus comes in) Then she runs out the door really quickly It's pouring rain outside She smiles and grins to the sky She sees a smiling boy who's waiting for her Tori's in the room again with flashing lights but tons of rain pouring on her (Steady as it....) Her father runs out and screams (Four horse engine)She's running off with the boy as it storms around them everywhere (Tear this tear this ) She rips the cross necklace off Back to Tori singing in the dark stormy room Then you see the boy and girl lying under an old shelter The father is standing right beside them shouting for his daughter looking in the distance It appears they have both become invisible They laugh and hug each other Tori is watching them, but they don't see her She smiles and walks away And a closing shot has a rainbow over them - ------------------------------------------------------------------ So the boy is sort of an imaginary friend and in the end, the little girl sort becomes the imaginary friend of her imaginary friend. And I know Tori isn't into happy endings (the Spark vid, but you know....). I just see relgious imagery with this one and water. I also see alot of movement. In the scenes with modern TOri she's definently going to have to do some moving Okay, so someone else try this..please!
