Tori wasn't IN Pet, it was just a band that Tori's label, Igloo, produced. The only band, in fact, (as far as I know), that it produced. And I think they did only one album, and I never heard anything else about it. That is, until someone on this list mentioned that the band's lead singer split from the group, or something along those lines. Along with the cornfields, comes deer. You see 'em everywhere in the midwest. I just don't understand why Atlantic Records can't get the name of the venue Tori is playing at in Indianapolis correct. True... it's not really a major issue and it's nothing trivial, but it just pisses me off, because if it's one thing Indiana has that's actually cool and people actually travel to (other than the Indy 500) it's gotta be DEER CREEK... not Dear Creek! =) Okay... I don't know if other people on this list from VA have heard her too or not. But anyway to give some examples I have been hearing the song Silent All These Years quite a bit on the radio, station B103.7 for those of you in VA. Then I have heard the song Cornflake Girl like 3 times in the last 2 weeks on both B103.7 and Q94.5. Then just the other day I was eating in Applebees when all of a sudden I hear the opening to Jackies Strenght come across the speakers in the restaurant. I was so excited I dropped my fork. I have also been noticing that I have been seeing a lot of Tori posters around here. I have been seeing the one with her in the Junkies Baddy Powder shirt and one that looks sort of a like the pics in the from the choirgirl hotel album, it is of her in this tiger skin looking dress. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been hearing or seeing more of tori lately, or if it is just me. Well thanks for reading. WOW. I wonder if they added instruments. That would be VERY cool to hear. Christopher(vocals) has a very interesting voice. Hmph. If anyone knows where I could possibly find a copy of this, please let me know. Btw, Darkest Days is a VERY good CD. Kinda NIN meets Tool. Mostly Tool-ish, though. The only problem I have with it is that for most of the songs the chorus consists of one line repeated over and over. That gets old. Other than that it's wonderful. I know this is really kind of off-topic... but I wanted to throw this in on that note. :) I heard that Manson copied his lil red hair style from the Japanese rock star "Hide" ... he used to be part of the popular J-rock band "X-Japan"... the band split up and Hide joined an american rock band in southern california called "Spread Beaver"... anywhoo.. just a year or two ago, he killed himself.. hung himself from a door (i forget the entire detailed story.. but..).. and of course alot of his fans back in Japan did the same.. killing themselves in his name. Anyway, it was rumored that Hide and Manson were friends, and he made his hair that way in tribute to an old friend... because Hide's hair used to be exactly like that. (But Hide changed his hair alot..) Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.. I've no clue if it's the truth, but I've heard it rumored more than once. :) Of course, he could have copied you as well.. hehe. On the starfucker note... I'm thinking from the sound of the lyrics that it IS about Manson.. but the lyric/title "starfucker" may have been inspired by the Tori song.. not about her.. but since Trent knows Tori.. maybe that's where he got the idea for the title, you know? I mean.. not too many people would think up something like that unless they'd heard it somewhere.. and I'm sure he's heard Tori's song.. ;) Just a thought... Tori did say she had to put the new songs together in a very short amount of time (no time to record new b-sides), so , total speculation here, if it's a two part single in Europe, maybe one disc will be live stuff not on the live album and the other will be unreleased B-sides (Snow Cherries). Of course, I know that in the UK now she can only have 2 b-sides on each....but who knows. Does anyone know if that rule is still in effect where UK singles can only have like 2 b-sides, the title track, and they can only be 20 Minutes long? They had and promulgated typos for two venues (two which caught my eye--there may have been more) for the DDI tour and never corrected them. The recent Digital Spew they sent out didn't even spell Morissette correctly. It also spelled the word "three" wrong in a headline, and they obviously continue to copy and paste an ancient version of the tour cities and dates from their web site from when it was first reported, as the formatting allowing for a graphic remains intact, and the now-confirmed Saratoga Springs date is still listed as "BA." They can't even get the abbreviation TBA spelled properly, let ALONE (God forbid) UPDATE it to the name of the venue after the date was confirmed! I expect very little from those people, and they haven't disappointed me yet. They do know how to spell "Hootie," though.
