I don't understand why the meaning of this song is so hard to see ... it's obvious to me. The song is about Courtney Love! It's Trent's rejoinder to Tori's Professional Widow...together they add up to a 1-2 punch dissing CL. I don't know what happened between the 3 of them, but it sounds more and more like CL persuaded Trent to decide between her and Tori (about something...who knows what), and after he choose CL, Tori wrote him off and CL showed her true colors, disappointing Trent and making him realize he'd made a bad decision. I'm not entirely sure about the horizon one, it seems to me like he has found someone else and now Tori's become the "other woman", only good enough for him when he's having problems with the first. Reading the lyrics simply reaffirms my already formed opinion on this song. I don't think it has anything at all to do with Tori. I definitely could see it in reference to Marilyn Manson, however. He screwed Trent over really bad and talked a lot of crap about him during the making of his last album, and I believe that Trent was really hurt by it, since without him, Marilyn Manson would be nowhere. So I really don't think this has much reference to Tori, even if the word starfuckers being used. Believe it or not, this is a fairly common slang word. Tori didn't make it up, I've heard it used to refer to many a person. Most especially aimed at Courtney Love and her dad. === look i'm standing naked before you don't you want more than my sex i can scream as loud as your last one but i can't claim innocence ta _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yeah... so in the mood of the whole Tori Tour thing, I decided to create a list for people who plan on attending any tour in Indiana; this year, being Deer Creek, of course. Anybody, whether you're in state or out of state, can join. In state and want to meet a few fellow "toriphiles" & "ewf"? Out of state and wanna know the hot spots of Indy? Well, I'm hoping this list can help you out! I'm kinda hoping we can get a few people together, either before or after the show. Maybe both or whatever is convient for the other people. (I'm unaware of any other Indiana Tori lists, but if one exists could you please enlighten me?) So if you're interested in joining, you have to be registered at Onelist - it's free and no spam! So after you've done that or if you're already a registered user, then boogie on down to the following URL and join! I don't think that was ever really a question, I think it was a question as to if it was about Courtney Love aka bitch :) But yes, Marilyn Manson sounds about right to me since Trent has been talking about how Brian (mr. manson to you) has sold him out, which by the way he has done to EVERYONE he used to know. And he stole my hairstyle ... bastard!!! Literally - I met him at a NIN concert in 1994 and I had blackish hair streaked with red and he told me it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, asked me how I did it, what colors I used etc... and now he has his hair like that!!!! with the exact same color I bet. My local Tower Records has four or five copies of it on the shelf, and my local Border's has a couple of copies as well. Remember, "out of print" doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be able to find it. I know that I've seen _Pink Earthquakes_ several times in the past couple of months. Well, I'm not really sure but... I guess i have thought maybe she's saying, maybe you are a liar, and the things you have said aren't true. Wait, here let me put the whole verse part here: "So maybe Thomas Jefferson wasn't born In your backyard like you have said and Maybe I'm just the horizon you run to when she had left You there, you, all here in my head and Running around and calling me come back I'll show you the roses and brush off the snow and Open their petals again and again and you know that Apple green ice cream can melt in your hands I can't so..." What I get is that even if he's a liar, and even if he has put her on the back burner for this other girl, she still has feelings for him. She wants to show him the roses, and what love can really be like. > "and maybe I'm just a horizon to run to" > I sort of have an idea of what this might mean but I'd still really like > interps. What I said before goes along with this. This is basically the back burner part.. She's the one he's going to seek out only after the other girl left.
