Quite right. Tori was much more popular here in England then. I think the problem was that because there are so many single releases here, and the singles market is much more prominent in the UK than anywhere else, EW probably felt that promotion was vital. By 29th of June (the original Jackie release date) heading towards a very long tour outside the UK, and EW probably felt they couldn't release a single without her performing it on Top of the Pops and promoting it further. Yet, this doesn't explain why they changed Jack to Rasp (possibly they thought it was more commercial so would need less promotion) and why they postponed and postponed till all of us lost our breath and faith. Whether we will get the box-set is well beyond me, and whether Jack will be released on July 19th I also know not, but next time Tori is in London, she'd be best advied to give those guys at EW a good beating. Ooops... "I can't believe this violence in mind...". Doron. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 May 1999 14:20:54 EDT From: VenusFruit@aol.com Subject: tickets! I live in philly, PA.. I can't go to the pitsburgh show because it's too far.. but I'm hoping to go to both of the NJ shows! Does anybody live in this area and are going? Are the venues small or big? Can anyone in that area estimate when the tickets might go on sale? Even if I get a shitty seat it'll still be a dream for me to finally see Tori. - -mandy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 May 1999 13:15:43 EDT From: Wintdve98@aol.com Subject: Re: Flap-Jack (or: the UK Jackie saga) In a message dated 5/2/99 1:10:05 PM Eastern Daylight Time, MLLX6DV2@fs1.ec.man.ac.uk writes: << Whether we will get the box-set is well beyond me, and whether Jack will be released on July 19th I also know not >> OK box-set?
