Like all the ones from tori's interviews and whatnot? I'd like to be able to do it - - but I don't have a clue how to do it or what I need to do it with. [I'm not talking about the one's on the JS cd, I know how to do those.] Thanks, Corrie ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 09:19:00 EST From: Tasha325@aol.com Subject: tori cover in LIFE. I don't think I have seen anything on the list about this yet... The new spring double issue of LIFE magazine is dedicated to photography and on page 133 is the latest Rolling Stone cover of tori. it is 1/2 page size and it is in the "cover runners up" section. Under it, there is a paragraph about David LaChapelle (the photographer) and a quote from him about tori that I thought was cute. "For me, Tori is like a wood nymph. She's so pale and translucent. I thought of her running in the woods and lighting up the way." So this is a good issue to pick up, the rest of the photography is great as well and if you missed the Rolling Stone with the Tori cover, you can have a small copy now. tasha ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Mar 1999 15:14:25 -0500 From: Nicole Haddock Subject: Hot Press article question Hey y'all, I'm hoping one of you can answer this for me. I obtained an article from the Fairy Tales web page. It's from the Hot Press and entitled "Tori's Story". However, I do not know the author, what date it appeared or the page numbers. I need this information for a term paper I'm writing and I'm quoting this article a few times. If anyone has this article and would be so generous as to dig it out and tell me what information they can about it, I would be grateful :)) Thanks, Nicole ************************** Nicole Haddock Emerson College '00 Video Production Major ************************** My heart is like the ocean It gets so in the way Close to touching freedom Then I hear the guards call my name -Tori Amos ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 16:59:10 -0600 From: Erin Jaques Subject: Tori and heroin...? Hi again! I don't know if this has ever been discussed, but it is something that caught my eyes (and ears!). I was reading "Wired," a book about the life of John Belushi. It mentioned all of his drug use, including his experimenting with herion, which killed him. Two kinds of herion mentioned were China White and brown. I immediately thought of the end of Professional Widow, where Tori sings "mother mary, china white, brown may be sweeter.....she will supply." Is there any connection? For once and for all Tori, are you *ever* going to come back here again? Just remember, Richard - you got to see her (many times, I might add) on the last tour... and the tour before that. You don't want to have to go through the chatter of tour "stuff"? Hell, I'd like to experience it for once. Okay, so you caught me in a bad mood, studying for a 30% exam. The main thing that bugs me about telling us a week before tickets go on sale is, I don't know what my finances will be from month to month.. so if they tell me a month or two ahead of time.. or even three, I can plan to have some money to buy a ticket... (or travel -and- buy a ticket, as the case may be...) And if it's this summer, I'm probably already screwed.. I have plans this summer. Bah. I probably wouldn't be able to go unless it's in Seattle anyway.. or happens to be where I'm going, when I'm going this summer. I do hope she'll be out... but I think it could just be a big rumor. The box set that she mentioned is coming out around Christmas... why would she tour while she's still working on that? Wouldn't she tour afterwards, to promote it? I dunno.. but if there is any -official- word about it.. I'd like to know.. as far as more speculation.. we don't really need to hear it... do we? Why get our hopes up if there's no such tour? That's my 2 cents.... I am DESPERATELY looking for a DDI tour book. If anyone is willing to sell theirs I would be deadly grateful! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I am so on my knees BEGGING. She announced that she would be taking time off to recouperate. To tell you the truth, I was SHOCKED that she would even go to work on the box set so soon after the tour. I dunno, the rumors sound pretty solid, but there is so much evidence against it. As much as all of us would love to see her again, I can't understand Tori putting herself through it again (after such a short break). Well, that's my 2 cents.
