Tori has refused to comment on this. She was explicitly asked by someone at MTV {Kurt Loder?}, and she essentially told him to kiss off. Ooops, so I did. As you might have gathered from the text, the fourth album was supposed to be EAST in my viewing. I saw WEST in LE for a lot of reasons, one of them being the "awakening" idea. The EAST was definitely the "leaping off" point of the wheel, the point for new directions (as I gathered from the book, anyway). It's interesting that the points are all still mixed up though. UtP IS "The West" album, made under the New Mexico pink sky in The Fish House, imbued with Eric's West-ness, although that really came through in LE as well. It's as if each album relates to a sequence in the wheel for one characteristic, then they re-arrange or rotate 'round the wheel for the next one. Of course, all that really means is that each album can be categorised differently into one of the "four-category" pigeon holes. Still, it's nice that we can definitely ascribe things like earth-> fire->air->water, and all come up with the same analysis. Anyway, I like the idea of the four albums closing a cycle. Cycles and circles and circles are great. Pandora closes our cycle, and opens her wooden LE box, letting out all those dark, feeling, strong things. No business that I am aware of has a special catalogue of only Tori-related items. You have to go through all the rest of their material to find the Tori-related stuff. However, since most businesses keep their stuff in alphabetical order, this is trivial. There are several online music stores that stock a good selection of Tori. Also check out the travelling record shows. 2) There is a book called _Tori Amos Collectibles_ by Paul Campbell, which lists all known Tori items through its publish date {early 1997}. While it's slightly out-of-date now, it is by far the best reference guide for Tori collectors available. It's full-color and has pictures of - -everything-. Your bookstore should have it or be able to order it for you, and the online bookstores list it as well. More information on this book, including its ISBN {the number a bookstore will need to order it, if they can't find that number in their database themselves}, is available in the Tori Resources FAQ, available by emailing resources-faq@rmta.org and asking nicely. Yeah the phrase "beyond the pale" has several meanings.. It's a two-disc set. The first disc is UtP, the second is a collection of bee-sides.
