You, m'dear, just got incredibly lucky -- and the person who sold it to a used music store should be kicking themselves hard. The UK Crucify box with the four art prints is worth $80 and up these days, if the box, CD, and pictures are in good condition. Now that's a pretty good return on an investment. :) For other questions about the value of things, rec.music.tori-amos maintains a Price FAQ. It's available on the rmta webpage at http://www.rmta.org/rmt-a/faq.html, IIRC. /nad ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Jan 1999 01:05:04 From: the Subject: bfp/mab and mp3s two quick requests for info... first, an article from spin was mentioned a while ago where tori says something about the bfp songs being parts of queen mab...does anyone have a transcript of this article or know where i could find it? and...where can you get an mp3 player...(for free preferably)... thanks for any help...or trying, ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 Jan 1999 12:59:36 -0500 From: cinders blue Subject: Re: the "new" soundtrack song.. also sprach ToriWidow@aol.com: >hey, does anyone have any idea of what song will be on that soundtrack...i >forgot what the movie was called, but i heard that tori's song was SUPPOSED to >be new and that she was collaborating with some hotshot composer...anyways... the movie is "anywhere but here" and no one knows what song of tori's will be on the soundtrack. all we know right now is that it will be a new song (at least according to the reports that have surfaced -- who knows? that may change between now and april when the movie/soundtrack are supposed to be released). the "hotshot composer" is danny elfman who is composing the score for the movie. he will allegedly collaborate with some of the artists on the soundtrack songs, but it not known which ones at this time. woj ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 Jan 99 12:29:54 PST From: princesstwinkle@joymail.com Subject: Re: Complete (videos) disappointment??? and other thoughts >That's a good point. It's nice to know sometimes that I'm not completely out of my mind. It's funny what strikes some folks as obvious that doesn't strike others. I never thought about the red ribbons in NtRB, but now it seems obvious, especially with Judy G. mentioned in the song. Now, the challenge is to figure out why Tori used so much queer imagery on BfP. In "Blood Roses", I thought that perhaps the person it's addressed to accused Tori of being queer during the break-up. As for the rest of it, I don't have much insight. Thanks again for the compliment. I agree that the LE videos are very appropriate, because they are more stripped down like that CD. I love the white. It's stark and simple and artistic. Also, I love reading the Past the Mission interpretations. I have always related it to two female friends of mine that are particularly adventurous and risk taking (ie. I once knew a hot girl....). The video has made me think more in terms of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. I love that you can think about the songs from many angles. Regarding the Raspberry Swirl nomination- I really like the song, but I think She's Your Cocaine is the better rock song. I listen to that one all the time in my car. I don't understand why that song didn't get its own single or radio play or anything.
