There are a few things that I'm looking for, and rather than trash up the list with a separate post for each one I will put them all in one! :-) 1) Pix and/or boots of the Montreal (July 26) and Burlington, VT (Nov. 16) shows (during the shows and/or meet and greets). 2) A tape of Tori on the Rosie O'Donnell show on Dec. 26th (when she sang Northern Lad) 3) A copy of the "The Big Picture" video from the Y Kant Tori Read era 4) Copy or clip from the Kellogg's Just Right commercial and/or the Trial By Jury episode that Tori appeared in. *taking deep breath* Ok, I think that's it...Of course, I'd be happy to pay for the media and postage...I'm just a lowly part-time help desk worker, so I can't afford much more than that, but if you insist....make me an offer and I'll see what I can do! :-) Thanks and take care all! Hi all, The list of nominations for the Grammy Awards this year was published less than an hour ago and this is what Tori was nominated for: Best Female Rock Vocal Performance - Raspberry Swirl Best Alternative Recording - from the choirgirl hotel Tori is up against some BIG competition but this is AMAZING news! I hope she wins at last! If you want to check out the full list go to: http://www.grammy.com/awards/allnominees.html Yay! FINALLY - the US Cdsingle of Cruel/RS arrived at British shores (via costly imports) last week so that those of us here previously used to frequent interesting British releases of Tori's singles (and now of course being deprived of such pleasures by the Eastwestern devils) can lay our hands on a 'new' single. All that now remains is for the Video collection to appear on PAL and life would be snuggest. Well almost. Does anyone know whether there are such release plans for the video? However, I have figured out approximate times and the tapes should take about four blank tapes. It definately won't be anymore than that and I think I'm going to stick as many live Bsides as I can on the end of the 4th tape. So here's the deal on how I will work trading for those who are interested. I will do the following trade arrangements... You can send: 4 blank 90 minute tapes + return shipping 4 live shows on tape (must decide with me what to send) and I will pay return shipping 2 live shows and 2 blank tapes + return shipping 3 live shows and 1 blank tape + return shipping 1 live show and 3 blank tapes + return shipping Alright I think I have all the combinations. Email me for my address, if you have any questions or if you want to work out some other kind of arrangement (live videos, tv appearances, cds, and merchandise are welcome too :)). Um...Lesse, a couple of other things. A few of the songs I want on the tapes are from the Phoenix, AZ 9/27/98 show. I was at that show and it was beautiful. I have a video of it and some of the songs on it are the best versions I've ever heard live so I definately want these on my tape. The problem is, a friend of mine hooked her VCR up to her stereo and recorded an audio tape from the video for me but it turned out in mono. I will use this if absolutely necessary but I'm hoping someone has a nice good quality audio copy of the show that they would like to trade. If anyone has this and doesn't care about my live tape stuff, I will still trade with you. PLEASE mail me. I will work something out with you. I've also decided if I'm going to do these tapes I'm going to attempt to do them right and using like 90% mp3s isn't going to make the tapes the best quality so I thought I'd try and get good copies of all of the shows I'm using stuff from. And since I'm waiting on a few other tapes, I thought I'd ask about the rest of the shows. So if anyone has any of the following the same goes as for the Phoenix show: Amsterdam, Holland 3/13/92 London, England 3/29/94 Pittsburgh, PA 5/30/96 Vancouver, Canada 7/19/96 Toronto, Canada 4/28/98 Chicago, IL 4/30/98 Seattle Washington 5/3/98 Los Angeles, CA 5/6/98 Paris, France 6/5/98 Ames, IA 7/18/98 Chicago, IL 7/19/98 Cincinnati, Ohio 7/21/98 Auburn Hills, MI 7/23/98 Charlotte, NC 8/12/98 Atlanta, GA 8/17/98 Eugene, OR 9/13/98 New Orleans, 10/10/98 Baltimore, MD 10/17/98 Nashville, TN 10/21/98 Louisville, Kentucky 10/28/98 Madison, WI 11/4/98 I'm still looking for Way Down, The Wrong Band, and In The Springtime Of His Voodoo. I wish I was Danica. This plan would be so much easier. I could just consult my millions of bootlegs for these songs. :) Um alright I'm done blabbing about this. Please help, people. You never know when it might come in handy... http://members.aye.net/~mikewhy/quotes.html Tori did 2 concerts in Boston May 22. During the first, early show, Tori said the following about 'Here In My Head', "This song always gets me in trouble." She told a story about her 11th birthday party. Her father asked what kind of cake was her first choice. "Chocolate cake", she replied unhesitantly. Her 2nd choice? "Coconut cake." And, when pressed for a 3rd choice, she asked for "Bunt cake with strawberries". She got nutcake. "I fucking hate nutcake". She then began 'Cornflake Girl'. - -- Ken Tough Cornwall UK ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 05 Jan 1999 12:41:24 PST From: "Claire :*)" Subject: [none] Hellofellow Toriphiles~ Well, I am sitting here with my splendid boot of Poughkipsie, NY when I remembered that I promised to post about the story before Father Lucifer. It`s amazing what I have learnt so damn quickly! Hopefully I have the problem with HTML sorted out now. Everyone at Precious Things is so nice! As is Tori, my idol. Is she the perfect female role-model or what? Thanx again! I don`t know if this has come up before, if it has just ignore it if you want, but what does everyone think the map inside "Choirgirl" represents?
