"northern lad" was nicely done. in case anybody is wondering, she sorta stretched the "so" in "it gets so fucking cold" to get around the cussing. after a commercial break, tori and rosie chatted about tori's wedding, getting kicked out of the peabody, and playing the bars of washington d.c.. woj, who just found out he shares his birthday with Ignaz Bo:sendorfer ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Dec 1998 15:01:44 +1100 (EST) From: brainbir@utas.edu.au (Ben) Subject: Tolerance is Bliss... The release you're probably seeing is the third one, which is the one that I have (mine was $75). It's in a plastic case sorta like the Disney movie ones (yup) and it has gold CD's that are number Tori Stories #1-4. The Cd's with this one are recordable. Anyways, there were four releases, and this one is considered to be the second best of the four (correct me anyone if I'm wrong). I look at it this way. Four bootlegs = $80 (for me anyways). So you're just buying four bootlegs at once. Plus, that release comes with a little poster inside. And I think it's pretty neat. =) Not to mention that most of these sets go for about $120 on eBay. Anyways, hope this helps out-- - --Ray-- "I've found the secret to life, I'm okay when everything is not okay" -Tori Amos ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Dec 1998 11:05:43 -0500 (EST) From: Ellen Morris Subject: Re: INTRIGUING TORI On Mon, 21 Dec 1998, Shaigirl 19/f wrote: > > Hey people - Not to burst your bubbles or anything, but the voting won't > help. Do any of you know if this was written as a spoken word song, or if it was a story someone put background music to? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Dec 1998 11:35:40 EST From: Cdfreke@aol.com Subject: Re: fanatic?? He is one of my favorite poets. Most of his stuff is directed at kids, but I still love it. He has a album of his poetry where he reads it aloud. But Tori changes it when she adds the word "yummy." Something like "and always take the Yummy garbage out." I hope this note finds everyone well. I was at the Newark NJ performance and I was hoping that someone has a copy of that excellent concert. Please e-mail me. I would like to give it as a Holiday gift to my girlfriend. It would totally shock her. Tori blessings! Jerry By the way, I agree with a lot of you about the way the meet and greets were handled. I waited in the cold, in Newark, for 3 and a half hours only to get a glimpse of the fairy princess. The barricade was small and anyone in the front refused to move or have things passed up to them. Rude has been one of the words I have been using when describing the meet and greet. Just my two cents. Please, please if you have a copy of the concert please let me know. Peace on Earth! He is a wonderful children's writer, and wrote many hilarious poems that gave me giggles at bedtime. :p He also wrote a storybook entitled Lafcadio the Lion. I know this poem has been around since 1985, at least, since I had it memorized by then. :) When I heard Tori "covering" this, I laughed so hard I nearly peed myself. It was so perfect for her, I'll definitely agree with that, :) Glad you liked it. :) - -vanessa- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Dec 1998 20:00:28 -0800 (PST) From: with her nine inch nails and little fascist panties tucked inside the heart of every nice grrrl Subject: Re: sarah cynthia sylvia stout would not take the garbage out! it was written as a poem. it is in a book, a collection of poems. shel silverstien is a childrens poet. i have the book upstairs... i have had it since i was little i think it was written in the 70s hope i was helpful melissa - ---jupiter spazzz wrote: > > > So I downloaded this song from "The Force" and, never having heard it > before, realized that it was like a nursery rhyme bedtime story type > thing with guitars in the background. so i went looking, and didnt > really find anything. on the lyrics search site though, they came up > with the same song (poem?) saying it was written by Silversteinn.
