It IS lord of the flies. She says "the lord of the flies was diagnosed as sound." I think the lyrics are just printed wrong in the cd book... This is so utterly sad. I'm so sorry it turned out that way for you. I found out for myself in Bethlehem about the groupies and their need to be close to Tori. They have no scruples (and I am addressing 2-4 of the constant, every show groupies) when it comes to getting their one desire. One of them had a seat in the first tier. As soon as Tori came on, he jumped onto the floor and started jumping over chairs and people to get to the stage. Right in front of me, a security guard caught him by the back of the shirt and dragged him out kicking and screaming. How nice for Tori. I spent a few hours in the cold to buy my 4th row center tickets the day they went on sale. Why should my excellent seats turn into crap because a select few feel they can show up on the day of the show, buy a lousy ticket in nosebleed central, and then stand at the stage, forcing everyone on the floor to stand also? What gives them the right to take over like that? I decided after the meet & greet in July to only go to meet with people on the lists. I was glad I decided to do that when I saw the results of the Baltimore line. Squeezed into a small area like cattle. I would have freaked if I'd been in the middle of it. I decided to forego the line in Bethlehem, even tho' it was smaller and friendlier than Baltimore was. I figured a couple of things. One, I didn't want to be caught in the press of bodies all reaching out to Tori. Two, I'd met her in Philly, someone else should have a chance. Three, I had decided if I were to ever meet Tori again, it would be because she wanted to meet me. So it disturbs me when I read that Tori is disappointed by the groupies actions. They may think they are something special, but the ones who are special to Tori only show up early at m&g's when they have something specific to relay to her. Other than that, they stand off behind the first two rows, or off to the side and just wave to Tori and she always says hi when she sees them, if she sees them. These "regulars" (to differentiate between them and groupies) also buy tickets and sit in the seats they get. Some buy tickets the day of the concert by standing in line for the release of vip tickets. Some get them by standing in line. Not one that I have met would dare consider putting everyone out so they could stand at the stage (unless of course they have 1st row). They are happy just being in the same room as Tori. I wasn't going to address this, but hell, the tour is over in less than 48 hours and to be blunt, the groupies really were rude and uncaring. I'm only speaking about the ones that shove and claim their spot out of a sense of entitlement, who think because of the amount of times they've met Tori, they deserve special treatment. This is so very sad, and I found these people personally to be very sad indeed. I hope that people might have learned some lessons by what occured on this tour and hopefully when Tori tours again, it won't be anywhere near like this was. Tori so honestly cares about all of the people who are there to see her, and I know she gets hurt to see them packed in small spaces, unable to move, sometimes being hurt. It must disturb her to know that some of the people she sees all the time are taking time from others. I'd be interested in what she has to say to these people now...if there's anything left to say, that is. I'm going away now. yes, I was speaking for Tori, but took the ideas from various interviews where she has discussed this. I hope no one was offended. But if you were, well, maybe you saw yourself in my words and if you did, You Were In My Way at the Freaking Concert! ;) Fairy Blessings, Bethey I'm OK when everything's not OK cause it's the Fairies Revenge they say and I have always been a Fairy *************************************************************** *~**Fairy Blessings**~* ~~ tori trades and really deep thoughts~ a proud member of the Tori Traders Ring updated at least monthly http://www.angelfire.com/pa/bethey/ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 02:54:29 EST From: EvilTori@aol.com Subject: Eat, Sleep, and Breathe Tori Hi guys!
