That does not mean, however, that I am not totally blown away and touched by her music. A year or two ago, when they were playing Silent All These Years on the radio a lot, I decided to buy the album of this woman tori amos. I found the album with SATY on it, never having heard of Little Earthquakes or having any idea what I was getting into. I scanned through the other songs and my first reaction was that I didn't like them. (I know, I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking.) It took me almost six months to give it another try and when Winter (my favorite song of all time ) came on, I started to cry. I played it over and over, and eventually learned to appreciate the other songs on the album. My parents bought me Boys for Pele and Under the Pink which I loved right away this time. I still had no idea how prolific an artist Tori was until I joined this list. I heard discussions about songs I had never heard of so I took another trip back to the record store. Only a few months ago was when I discovered how many B-sides there were. I only have three (Winter, Talula and Jackie's Strength) but this is only because of lack of finances. I watched the entire grueling three hours of the mtv music awards last weekend just for that one glimpse of tori. I'm starved for tori you might say. I won't get the opportunity to see her in concert (again with the money thing) and I am incredibly jealous of those of you who have. Anyway, I'm impressed if you've read this far and I have a question. When I scrape up enough money, what do you suggest I buy for my next B-side? I'm sure you all have your favorites and I don't wish to start any arguments but I'm just curious what genuine toriphiles think is the best Bside for a beginner like me. Thanks for reading all of this. (I'm working on developing something to put in this spot...coming soon) Elizabeth ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V3 #375 *************************************
