Enjoy! "She Keeps Playing" She sits alone looking at the shiny black and white keys before her. She is waiting, longing for them to speak to her. Suddenly, she hears their familiar voices in her head, And she starts playing. Beethoven, Bach, and Chopin hold no interest to her, For she creates her own songs. She is entranced by the rhythm of her fingers, And she keeps playing. She gazes through her window, observing the moon. It waxes and wanes as she plays her quiet compositions. The faeries in the ancient trees hum with her music, And she keeps playing. She can see the dark and light colors flowing within her piano. She smells the sweet scent of light from the notes. She tastes the bitterness of her emotions, And she keeps playing. The years pass by, moving in silence. Seasons change, yet the fire keeps burning. The door to her youth is now locked. Still, she keeps playing. My teacher and I sent it in to 21 Century today, which is a magazine published with teens' poems and articles. I hope it gets published. What do you think? It's the ninth movie in the James Bond series, and was released in 1974. The villain in the movie is named Francisco "Pistols" Scaramanga, (aka The Man with the Golden Gun). He uses gold bullets, and has a golden gun. Herve Villechaize is also in this movie. Said man with the golden gun is a guy named Scaramanga, whose gun has, I believe, the unusual virtue of being able to kill any opponent with a single shot. He lives on some island fortress out in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately, that's about all I remember about the movie, except that Bond was supposed to be able to identify Scaramanga by his third nipple . . . *snicker* Screaming in cathedrals, Shanie __sgb29641@csun.edu_________________________http://www.wcat.com/~eponine__ "HAZE all clouded up my mind in the DAZE of the why it could've never been so you say and I say you know you're full of wish and your babybabybabybabies I tell you there's pieces of me you've never seen maybe she's just pieces of me you've never seen, well . . ." -- Tori Amos, "Tear In Your Hand" ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Oct 1998 18:14:36 EDT From: Cruel2000@aol.com Subject: Re: [Toriphiles] My poem In a message dated 98-10-23 16:06:56 EDT, Roseprism@aol.com writes: > I started writing this poem for Tori at first, but then realized that it's > alos about myself.
