Ok, I was on a lake front and there was this huge Tori show and there were all these women performing in the water that looked like Tori, exactly like Tori, and I saw her bassist performing on a rock in the water next to this one Tori who was dressed in a faded red 18th century sort of dress and she was hanging off of a rock different from the one her bassist was on and she was floating in the waterg, but in my dream i thought it was very likely that it was really Tori, but more on her bassist, well, he was performing on a sea foam green upright bass. Then I went up to Tori and said "hi tori" and she said, "hi, but I'm not tori" well, this is when Talula started playing in the background and I swam out of the water and went to find the real tori and I walked up the shore line and saw Caton sitting on a wooden raft playing an electric guitar and he had his other guitars set up on the raft, well I looked around for Tori in the area, and saw one, and so I ran into the water, and when I got up to Tori she was standing and dancing in the water and when I came up to her she stopped and just stared at me and I looked back at her and realized it wasn't really Tori because her lips were...well, not Tori's, much much much smaller then Tori's. So I got out of the water and walked on the shore again to find the real Tori and on this little walk all the Tori's in the water turned into mermaids and there were about 10 of them in the water and they were all sitting on rocks flipping their little tails and I figured out that none of them were really Tori and I continued walking down the shore and I saw the real tori, she didn't have a piano or keyboard or whatever, but it was tori and I ran into the water again and right when I got up to her I woke up. So, I know my dream was rather messed up, I think so too, it was rerally weird... Well, bye. Love, Hanna PS-Marissa thank you soooooooooooooooo much, you're incredible. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 13:51:50 +0100 From: "Ruud van Melick" Subject: Re: Tori Mailing Lists On 20 Aug 98 at 17:23, *esmerelda98 wrote: > I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a site where > you can sub to all of the Tori Amos mailing lists. (she threw it over her shoulder, then it came back for an encore during the waitress.) the day was long, the road trip was exhausting, we got soaking wet from the rain, ruined our pants, but it was totally worth it. tori was every bit as gracious as i've heard she is. her road crew was totally cool. and the ewf i met will stay in my heart forever more. i can't wait to do it all over again. :) torihugs and faeriekisses, ~~*jenn*~ - -- ~~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~*:~ "We are all Faeries living underneath a leaf on a lily pad" ~Tori~ ~~*Come Dance in Jenn's Faerie Ring*~ http://fly.to/faeriering ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 14:24:21 -0700 (PDT) From: Greg Burrell Subject: Updated Tori News from RDT Hi Everybody, 8/21/98 Oops, in yesterday's news bulletin I inadvertantly mixed up the Spartanburg and Jacksonville dates. A second version on ATL and a second >on EW would make 5 versions of the *same* album? >Thoroughly confused >(i thought they only managed to do that with CD Singles ;)) Here are the US pressings of BfP: 1) Original BfP, the one we all bought the first day it was released. 2) Replace Talula with the Tornado mix, but the packaging still says it's the original. 3) Tornado mix, and the packaging is correct. There's been a report on rec.music.tori-amos that someone purchased a BfP that said it had the Tornado mix, but the CD actually had the original Talula. I've only heard one report of that, and don't know if it's terribly reputable. If anyone else can confirm this, I'd appreciate it. I listed the UK pressings before, but here they are again: 1) Same as (1) above. 2) Replace Talula with the Tornado mix. 3) Tornado mix of Talula, add some remix of PW in addition to the original, dump Voodoo. So there are at least six different commercial versions of BfP available. I don't know if the UK had the same problem with Tornado mixes of Talula in packaging for the original Talula, so that might take us up to seven. And we haven't even gotten into promotional releases yet! Or CD or cassette or vinyl! This, my friends, is why it's expensive to be a Tori completist. See, Tori sells millions of albums to the same 3000 people -- we just keep on buying up these new versions when they're released. ;) /nad ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 18:08:20 EDT From: Life4ce2@aol.com Subject: Re: M&G Line Numbers?? yes...elise elise....i tried to meet tori at the dc and richmond meet n greets, but the little girl w/ the pocket money and a whole lotta time and gas to follow tori to every show and end up in the front kinda inhibited that attempt...her and her 3 groupie friends...it's a pity for those who haven't met her..meanwhile, you have this elise boasting every time about how many shows she's been to and how many meet n greets...ick...and would you believe that in richmond, right as they were setting up the barricades, she thought she's have plenty of time to go to the bathroom and when she came back everyone was already packed up against barricades and poor elise didn't get anyone near seeing distance..so she cried..oh well, i think she's rather selfish myself..but i guess if tori's your whole life and you have nothing better to do than follow her around, well then it's pretty sad for her...but hey, no pity here shannon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 22:17:33 EDT From: Anavrin560@aol.com Subject: Re: Origin of Dew Drop Inn :-) well :-) when I first heard MMF with "honey do drop in at the dew drop in" it reminded me immediately of a tongue twister we did in a drama class : do drop in at the Dew Drop in carol :-) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 17:53:55 -0500 From: Stephen Wiener Subject: Re: Tori News from RDT At 08:29 PM 8/20/98 -0700, Greg wrote: >The Dallas, TX show on October 4 is not yet scheduled to go >on sale. I'm not trying to pick or start a fight but there needs to be a differentiation between people who get there early enough to be up front and people who show up later and push their way to the front. i don't feel it is selfish for people to get to meet/talk to tori more than once **IF** they get there early enough each time. i don't feel that people have the right to be up front against the barricades just because they haven't "met" her yet. if someone else gets there before you (and has done so the past 10-10,000 times) then they have the right to be up front before you do. if you have one opportunity to meet tori then you should really plan on getting there early....it's more fair than someone getting up front because this is their "only time to meet tori". >Wow, that was a rant.
